Somewhat disingenious regarding a comparison of Chalobah vs Koulibaly. In the game cited here i think he played Pulisic as RWB, Sterling as LWB and RLC as a deep lying midfielder, who BTW had a hideous game including one of the OGs. Goalie change at half time. I think thsi was more about Potter having his ar$e handed to him than anything else to be honest. Trust me, in no way would Koulibaly have mitigated this atrocity.

Fair enough but the fact remains that so far under Potter nobody had a tragic match as Chalobah that day, so saying that it's strange how he isn't starting ahead of Koulibaly is not really fair.

isn't that basically the only game Chalobah has started which we've lost? Pretty sure before then he was unbeaten as a starter.

Koulibaly against relegation fodder Forest is the worst CB showing i've ever seen in a Chelsea shirt. Was getting absolutely bullied by Awoniyi physically and technically and every aspect you could possibly think of. Genuinely shocked he made it past half time.

Worse than Bogarde?

How Long We're We Interested In Him For, As Said Before Some Of Our sh*t CB Signings Are Better Than KK

I said years ago that I never really rated him, I even had people tell me I was so wrong about him. I was willing to give him a chance when we signed him, decided to go along with what everybody else has been saying about him all these years, but it turns out I was right all along.

The guy isn't a good a defender. He's a bit older now, but he's not THAT old, he's only 31. Even if his body is giving up on him at 31, if he was such a good defender, he would still have the intelligence to know when to tackle, how to hold his position, when to contain and when to push up and be better defensively in the air. He has none of these things.

Some players rely on their intelligence (Maldini, Thiago Silva), other players rely on their athleticism liek Koulibaly. Especially in a league like Serie A which is much slower, Koulibaly's athleticism would've dominated. With him slowing down and moving to a much faster league, it's hasn't gone well for him.

I don't think he was a bad signing on paper as we needed to replace Rudiger, but giving him a 5 year contract at 31 is utterly bizarre.

Been reported that part of the reason for his struggles for us is that he has not adapted to life at Chelsea and especially in England.

Makes me think he may well be willing to do a Werner and drop his wages if we allow him a cut price move back to Italy.

For FFP purposes we would need to take in 26.5mill to cover ourselves with no loss or gain, but we may just have to accept a bit of a loss to make it happen or get a loan fee close to 8mill, which is not going to happen.

This guy was deemed world class for at least the last decade or so. Don’t understand what happen here.

World class by who? He was quality in an average Serie A, and we bought him when he was over the hill.

He was always a rash CB.

Tuchel fine tuned Rudiger's game, and could of also done it with Koulibaly. Ship has sailed now and even more so with reports he's never settled in London.

Ohhh. That's a huge assumption. Absolutely massive.

Rudiger had pace. Koulibaly is up there with Jorginslow. You can't coach pace.

Where have I mentioned pace? Not sure pace has ever been a worry for me regarding Koulibaly. It's the timing of his challenges that are reckless which is clear as daylight.  Commits when he shouldn't 90% of the time.
