None of us believe that if we put Auba in a different shirt he would become a great centre-forward for Chelsea. Equally, none of us believe that if we put Reece in the number 9 he would become a bad right back. A lot of players have failed wearing the number nine for Chelsea because they would have failed no matter what number they wore.

Idk man that number is spooky, who knows what would have happened if our boy Diego has chose to wear 9 instead of 19 he did go on a poor run at times don't get me wrong and the way he left was unceremoniously. 

I think it's become a psychological battle now for any wearer of that shirt. The challenge to beat the curse, but also the chance that it ends up being a self fulfilling prophecy and the player ends up failing because number 9s apparently just don't work at this football club unless you're Drogba, Anelka or Costa in recent years.

And I know its youtube rubbish but he does look handy. He us the type of signing I would expect the new regime to go and make.

I won't pretend I've watched him live but looking at his metrics, what I'm hearing and the clips I'm seeing he's the one signing that might, just might, help me somewhat get over us losing out on Enzo (atleast until he joins a rival).

A new citizenship allows him to get a work permit, or at least apply for one. As a Russian, he would not be able to do so currently. At least that is the reporting.

As for the payment I don't know but I'm assuming it could be overcome by using intermediaries.

Translating player effectiveness from Russian football to The Premier League is beyond my powers but I certainly like Zakaryhan's skills. Like them very much and think they give him a chance everywhere. For the reported figure, I want this deal to happen.

So now that we got an Ukrainian who doesn't smile will we still pair him up with a Russian lad? 

I hope they work things out for the best, could be a tricky relationship but it could also become a symbol for peace at last. Footballing wise it just makes sense though and the fee is more than fair.

If there'd be any tension I don't think Mudryk would've sign for a club that was owned by a Putin Oligarch for decades in the first place.

Reading between the lines, it seems CFC have concluded that there is no way around the sanctions.

There was an article yesterday in which Dynamo's CEO was reported to have said they had not even had any contact from Chelsea during the January window. It's a shame because I really like the look of this kid but, of course, my disappointment at a lost transfer opportunity is a silly, irrelevant, nothingness compared to what people are enduring in this war.

Could get even more interesting. We have a Russian player in the CFCW squad. They bump into each other at the food station, a quick romance, worldwide headlines, Putin calls it a day, et voila - Chelsea save the world. 🙂 

Looks like we're using Strasbourg to activate his £12m release clause to get around the restrictions on Russian imports. Probably spend a year in France then we sign him off them for about £20m.
