Depay... wasn't that good in the prem. Haven't really set La Liga alight. Free transfer and a moderate salary and we could look at it....

From what I can see, there is room for him. 17 non homegrown players are allowed, we have 15 if you include Aubameyang. If we are talking about the 25 man squad, well we have 23 currently, Chukwuemeka, Vale, Casadei, they are all under 21, so we don't need to worry about that.

Are they talking about the actual positions on the pitch? That could be it, but Depay can play left, right or through the middle of the forward line. Mount and Pulisic currently play on the left, Havertz and Ziyech on the right, Sterling and Broja in the middle. Mount and Havertz are not wide forwards, so we don't really want to count either of them. I would rather have Sterling out wide and somebody else playing LW/LF. 

I just don't see how there is no room for him in the squad.

How has an elite club spent over a quarter of a billion pounds on players and still ended up with a pair of wingers that have never had a good season in their entire careers outside the Dutch league in 9 attempts.

Shocking stuff.

I get the point about how poor our guys are but how does not signing Depay make it worse. 

This guy was cr@p at Man Utd. Somehow resurrected himself in a rubbish league to manufacture a move to Barcelona where, lo and behold, he ends up cr@p again, so much so that Barcelona have been peddling him around Europe all summer. Juve would have taken him at any time for free because he is cr@p but Barcelona being the bent, bankrupt fckers that they are wanted cash for a bloke that they wanted to throw away.

Even tonight they were talking about terminating his contract to buy him time to move as a free agent and of course the wonga boys still wanted dough for him. So he has had no option but to "commit" himself to them , so he can sit on the bench or be on the golf course whilst the real players are playing.

The crime of this window is not just the lack of players that we have signed but the fact that we have fcked about for two months engaing with the toxic to$$ers at the Nou Camp  as well being so one dimensional in our approach that our scoutiung and recruitment policy has been shown up to be embarrasingly amateurish.

I am truly glad we didn't get Depay

Correct call to not sign him. He's not that good player to be starting regularly, if we just wanted another player could have just kept CHO
