September 9, 20223 yr Good news our fan support from salzburg has just told us the game will take place as usual
September 9, 20223 yr When her dad snuffed it the old First Division matches went ahead as scheduled , these modern footballers nowadays are just too soft to play and mourn at the same time !
September 10, 20223 yr no football except CL game until October? 3 f**king weeks of gazillion royal news and pointless Uefa nations league. you can shoot me I am not the piano player
September 10, 20223 yr Clogging up the fixture schedule in a season which has a World Cup bang in the middle of it seems... misguided. It's as if we learned nothing from last season.
September 10, 20223 yr I've never seen as lose at Fulham got some great memories the 5-3 in 1983 but best was a couple of months before when we played them it was the same day as the boat race posh totty everywhere. To say they weren't interested in 17 years old with bumfluff is an understatement. 🤣
September 10, 20223 yr I understand some people here doesn't like the royal family and from fans pov postponement is horrible. However for Chelsea it is actually a very good thing. Our form has been absolutely 👎👎👎 and we have a new manager so this is actually a very good thing for us. I am not sure United, City or Arsenal want this "break" but I am pretty sure potter n klopp welcome it with big giant open hand. Edited September 10, 20223 yr by Bob stark

I'd have expected matches and other events to go ahead as planned, just maybe with the national anthem and a minute's silence beforehand, as will be the case for theatre performances. Perhaps the football authorities were worried by the behaviour of some sections of the crowd at certain grounds and have erred on caution to save embarrassment. We already have had to introduce clapping in place of a minute's silence in response to idiots not being able to show respect to a deceased former member of the home club and Scousers have shown a total disregard for the National Anthem.

September 10, 20223 yr Great result today. Can’t believe Chucky got a hat trick. Potters already got us producing magic on the pitch. I think that was quite possibly the greatest performance I’ve ever bear witness to. Although Pulisic was still sh*t.

Someone make sure @Zeta knows eh?

We don't have a match thread for Pool yet, but wanted to let you know the queens funeral is a week Monday, so only horse racing cancelled on the day. The football league games are scheduled to go ahead for the weekend, the PL have yet yo comment if the Friday- Sunday games will. The government only asked sporting events to be postponed on the day of the funeral. The royal family nor government did not ask for the games this weekend, nor for next weekend, to be postponed. It is up the the 20 clubs and the league.

That makes sense. Although I support their right not to respect the minute's silence if that's their wish (this is not North Korea, after all), it would be terrible PR for the FA/Premier League.
