It will probably affect the Liverpool at home game too as it is on the day of the funeral, isn’t it?

It’s 12 days of mourning isn’t it so that will be until after the Liverpool game

Do we all get 10 days off work? Seems a bit long. I only got three days off work and that was for my own dad.

Surely there will be some days called as national days of mourning

No. Businesses will go on as normal as will schools etc until the funeral.

I think the funeral is on the Saturday and we play the scum on Sunday, but I don’t really know for sure what will happen or if indeed the funeral is Saturday.

I wished, but I’m afraid that we’ll be lucky to get one day off.

Quite right.

The country is in mourning.

Rest in peace your majesty.

I wouldn't say I am mourning, I don't really feel anything. I have never had much time for the royal family personally. I don't wish any harm on them or anything, I just don't really care. They are more like celebrities these days.

I surmised it would just be for the weekend's EPL fixtures, UEFA while respectful of her passing (no opening ceremony at Scum United's Europa League game which is on now despite HRH snuffing it) are not going to pause their flagship comp over it, cant see all 6 UK teams in the comp forfeiting games either that's a non starter imo.

So even if they do stupidly postpone 2 rounds of EPL we should have a UCL match next  week at The Bridge (same logic as United playing now because the mourning started right after she kicked the Royal bucket)

And what about all  the overseas fans who've booked flights, hotels etc to see the upcoming matches at all UK clubs/ other sporting events etc., they're gonna get screwed no time to reschedule and get refund on travel etc. Will King Charles the Turd be issuing refunds to them ? I doubt it.

I think it's more accurate to say it's 12 days of the media pretending it's a big deal and constantly saying the country is in mourning while next to no one cares because the Monarchy had no real impact on their lives and they have far more important concerns be it bills/family/work/ etc and still want to dedicate their free time to football/partying/travelling or whatever else they do.

Cancelling games for 2 weeks to pretend we're all mourning is absurd.  A black armband and a minutes silence would suffice.

Come down to Soho tomorrow night and you'll see just how much the average person is in Mourning.

We shouldn't shut down the country because a monarch passed away, it's down to the organisations dicretion whether to do so anyway, schools and workplaces remain open and it's not treated as a bank holiday.

Irresponsible to cause a fixture pileup over this in my opinion, we can mourn in our own downtime.

I mean Charles could invite me to his palace, wouldnt say no. Hope he can cook…

Rumours are that clubs that it’s almost certain that the weekends fixtures will be cancelled plus it’s likely that CL will also be postponed as UEFA will grant it.

If football won’t resume until after the funeral in 12 days, that takes it to around 1st October. Blimey.

Potter will have a pre season

it looks like a decision will be made in the morning about Saturday and Sunday games

EFL games and here in Northern Ireland, NIFL games due to be played tomorrow night have already been postponed.
