@Valerie what should I predict? Fulham win, Draw or we win?

predict that we don't have a FT Manager in the dug out by Sat morning...don't see Brighton releasing Potter (if he accepts) before their weekend game and upset their good start.   As for us we might either see a complete mess of a football team, or a team that is cohesive with the freedom to play the football we want to see.

This lot I imagine :

I'd assume one of Michels or Low would be pulling the strings ... unless it is management by committee LOL

Unless they left with TT?  He brought Michels, Low and Weber with him, normally as his team they would leave when the coach gets sacked. If they were hanging around I assume Micheals would've be in the dug out but Barry is.

Yes - there were conflicting reports.

I think they have left though, as they have all now been removed on the club web site, and, as you say, all the training photos yesterday only showed Anthony Barry, plus Mark Robinson.

Mind you, that link still shows Scott McLachlan as Head of Scouting for some reason, so it's not perfect even via the official sources !

I'm going to guess we will play 3-5-2 for Potter's first game, as per what he played there recently with Brighton ?

Mendy

Fofana, Koulibaly, Cucurella.

James, Chukwuemeka, Zakaria, Kovacic, Chilwell

Sterling, Aubameyang.

That gets all 7 of Boehly's first team summer buys into the starting XI ... and gives Potter a nice tick in the box with his new boss 🙂

Potter for me won't have time to watch the players probably someone like JT is taking the training while T&Cs over contracts are hammered out.

I suspect we will start with

                    Mendy

        Fofana Silva Koulibaly

  James RLC Kovacic Chilwell

      Mount  Havertz Sterling

I think Mendy will be told to kick it up towards Havertz and we start play from the knock downs and pressing from the front with a high defensive back line.

If we get in front then maybe Auba or Broja come on.

I'd like to see this line-up

Honestly not expecting much to change tactically this weekend, what I do hope to see is players stepping up a bit as they'll be looking to earn a starting spot under Potter.

Really though it's likely to be 90 minutes of 'no tactics, just vibes' - fingers crossed we can get a result through sheer individual talent. Whilst it would be nice to kick off his tenure with 3 points, the real work starts next week for Potter.

If the Queen doesn't make it through to Saturday, could this weekends fixtures get canned?

That's what I was wondering myself.

It won't be any different. A change in manager won't suddenly make Havertz able to make a decision, or Pulisic to dribble past a player, or Jorginho to pass forwards, or Ziyech to pass to a teammate at all.

I think it will.

I disagree.

Individually they might not, but collectively they could make a difference.

Games will probably be cancelled now for the next week or so.

That probably actually helps Chelsea because they are starting with a new coach.  Gives Potter more time to implement his system.

Yeah it sounds like games will be called off. I imagine CL game will be played not PL this weekend. In the long run, it’s probably good for Potter and the squad. Plus, Fulham are actually in decent form so gives them time to lose it!

How can they postpone anything? The season is congested as it is?
