October 5, 20241 yr Author Mr. Felix is a very good player. His performances so far have been satisfactory. He has not been exceptional so far. The season is still young. There is still time. There are expectations upon Mr.Felix to be an exceptional and special player at some point. He was always supposed to be one of the best players in the world. At some point in the future. He will turn 25 next month. The potential has always been there. We will hopefully see something amazing from him this season. We wait.
October 5, 20241 yr I don't know how anyone can have watched that game and thought he was one of our better players, he had zero positive impact on our attacking play.

Not for me, I didn't want him first time round, I castigated him then for his lack of output, and I do now. Gallagher leaving has nothing to do with it for most fans I expect.

Nkunku's only involvement in the entire game was his goal. He was barely involved at all. Mudryk had a few decent moments and got an assist, but I wouldn't say he was better than Felix. He had a good first 25 minutes, then became frustrating until Gent started getting tired late on where his pace was starting to become a problem for them. I don't think Felix was great or anything, but I don't think it was a game where he deserved heavy criticism either.

Badiashile, Disasi, Casadei, Tosin, Mudryk, Neto, Nkunku, Dewsbury-Hall, did any of these players play better than Felix last night? We won 4-2, so if criticism should go anywhere, it should be aimed at the defence. None of the attackers were a problem. Thank you Scott, criticism is always fair, he's not set the world on fire since coming back but it's only been a few games. I feel like some of the comments on here are more malicious than actual criticism, he's a Chelsea player now. He's not disrespected the club or the fans, if this is all because he replaced Conor Gallagher well it's hardly his f**king fault is it.
October 5, 20241 yr Not set world on fire. He has not been exceptional so far. He was always supposed to be one of the best players in the world. We will hopefully see something amazing from him this season. The best we should hope for is he has a decent season with us and we can palm him off to Villa plus money for Watkins or Duran. desperate to stay when numerous other players including "one of our own" were itching to get the hell out of here. These are just really polite ways of saying he's S**t. He is S**t and he wasnt convincing first time around and we had to sign him to offload a significantly better and more effective player. He's so bad that not a single club came in for him until our board F**cked up this transfer and brought him back... Hoping January see's the back of him because he's already just blocking talented youngsters coming through. He has done nothing in La Liga, nothing for Portugal, I am struggling to fire up my imagination he'll do anything great for us. Rant over. Christ what were the nobs in the board thinking.
October 5, 20241 yr He’s certainly one of them players that’s waiting to explode, that’s why I’m glad we’ve signed him. Because you never know, the potential is certainly there. If Felix explodes and Sancho keeps up his good form, christ we’ll have one hell of a team.
October 6, 20241 yr If there is one thing he actually deserves criticism for, it's that he needs too many chances before scoring. He should have buried that header today, it's an easy chance.
October 6, 20241 yr Has to score that chance. Still early days and think his time will come, but we could have really done with that header today.
October 6, 20241 yr Don't worry guys, next week he'll realise his potential and become a world beater...

October 7, 20241 yr I am one of the few who like Felix, as I think he offers us something that few others do - his comfort on the ball and ability to make something out of nothing. We created lots more once he came on yesterday - and only some world class keeping and wasteful finishing stopped him making the difference. So I wont criticise for the show pony stuff - but he absolutely needs to be burying the header. It was a golden chance - and he has fluffed his lines. Chris also did the same.

The most wasteful player in the squad more interested in his youtube highlight reel than helping the team. Its why every club before has got rid of him. You'd also think all that ability would have made more than one big chance in nearly a year. Edited October 7, 20241 yr by Ukraine Bolt

But that doesn’t change the fact that (it appears as if) the team generally creates more with him on the pitch. I.e - stats tell a story, but the eyes tell another. With him on the pitch, I think we are better. His ability and comfort on the ball are unmatched by others - with the exception of perhaps Palmer. Appreciate that this is all subjective , and “the eye test” I am relying on is not quantitative in terms of analysis or evidence. It seems to me that he is judged to a higher standard than some others - perhaps because of previous price, hype and reputation (both positive and negative). He can do better - but I strongly disagree with the claim that he is our “most wasteful player” or that he is only interested in YouTube highlights. I see him losing the ball far less than others (madueke, caicedo, gusto, Cucu, Mudryk, wacko, Enzo, fofana - to name a few).

Ability and comfort means nothing if they don't translate to anything meaningful. If we want comfort on the ball we should have signed Taarabt or Ravel Morrison on a free. The funny thing is the only person in the list you've gave that gives less key passes per 90 than Felix is Cucurella. Even our holding midfielder gives more key passes than the creative wonderkid that is Felix. All fart, no poo. FYI Jackson does 5x as many key passes per 90 than Felix lmao.

A recurring metaphor from you. I suggest a laxative.
October 7, 20241 yr Mendes really pulled our pants down here. Although a bit of an unknown, that Omardion lad has something we are lacking in the attacking end, and I can't help but feel he would've helped us against both Palace and yesterday.
