The perennial New Years Chelsea banana skin.  Really curious what type of mentality the team brings today.  They need to bring nothing but their best and be assertive in play for 90 mins to win.

A Happy new year to everyone - just thought I’d raise the Garibaldi Red flag, say a hello and hope it’s a good game. Obviously I’m hoping for a home win which would take us up to mid table. We are on a decent run at home - 3 wins and two draws - beating Liverpool, Spurs and Palace.

The lineup is a bit stale, I agree 

Same side as the last game, bar Dave for James.

Best team we can field atm, bar maybe Kovacic and Chalobah. 

Happy with that and happy that Potter is showing some assurance. 

RB should be our priority this January. Outside of that team looks pretty solid.

Would have liked Chalobah in for Koulibaly.

Nice to see us settling in to a back 4 again too.

Nice to see Potter play the same team and formation. 

Havertz has only scored away 4 times in the PL. Not expecting much from him today. 

Very happy with the line up, look to see Kova and Ziyech come on at some point and hopefully carry on from their world cup form. Big chance for Sterling, Mount and Havertz to carry on their form from the previous match. Another chance for Pulisic to show what he's got in his actual position. 

Expect a similar performance from last game, dominate possession play quick on the transition and get the ball to Sterling and Pulisic. Mount arriving late in the box. Only concern is Azpil isn't as athletic as James, yet Azpil crossing is slightly underrated he does put in good balls on occasions. Interesting to see the difference when James is out
