It's one of the weirdest situations we've had for a player. Comes on the first game and everyone including pundits up and down the country talks him up as Eden Mk2. Gets a cold, has a stinker of a game, a couple of things on social media and now doesn't even get on as a sub! Strange!

He is so bad defensively so it is hard to bring him in when you are defending a lead.

Not sure how much it has got to do with it, but he is Ukrainian and every day his head must be in another country, he is on social media showing support for his brothers, he posted support for the soldier killed in cold blood on video and now martyred. He's a young kid first time living abroad, i can't imagine how is head is at the moment.

And yet, Zinchenko has been consistently pulling up trees this entire time. Don’t buy it… he’d have hit the ground running with Arteta.

It’s just the system, as Scott Harris explained rather well on the previous page. Unfortunately (at least for the remainder of this season) he’s going to have to bide his time, don’t blame Potter for doing what he has to do in order to keep his job though.

Zinchenko is much older and has been in England for 7 years, so you cant compare.

He’s been distraught and emotionally all over the place on & off the pitch, first moved to Arsenal in the midst of all the chaos in his country. 

Anyway, point being, I prefer the more logical answer. 

I could understand Potter point of view, desperately trying to hold out for wins over the last 2 games, so not taking a risk with Mudryk. However, particularly against Leeds, showed way too much cautions and respect, even a like for like sub for Felix ( doesn't defend much either), would have done both Mudryk and the team a favour.  It's not a good look to have a 80M player not even making a cameo, either you over paid for a player purely on potentials, or owner signed a player the manager doesn't want. Of course one could argue it's early days, but players ( especially the expensive ones ) won't bench warming forever, and will only get worse if they don't get game time.

Yeah the logical answer, he's only just arrived at the club/country.

i can understand Potter brought on Pulisic, who used to be a wingback under TT, in a phase of the game that we had to defend 

why do some people make such a big deal over that? he's on a 8 year contract, he will get some games

The typical overreaction here is laughable imagine someone of you were around when we first signed Drogba or Lampard you would be calling for the clubs head. 
We have seen this story before Salah, KdB ..let potter ease him into the team.

At which point surely you invest time into the player you own, not the one going back to another club in 2 months?

Moving from a country at war to England just after your 22nd birthday is slightly different than moving from Manchester to London at age 26 after spending your entire adult life here.

Hasn't Potter himself said he's thankful Felix can play wide left?

We're playing two 'wingers' (Felix/Sterling) with Kai the focal point as a CF. 

We seem to be playing the same system as Tuchel played, which isnt ST  ST

But even in wide left, Felix play more as inside forward or a 10 which is what most 343 system demand. Whereas murdyk is more of a winger.

Felix is central to our CL ambitions. Mudryk is for the future. 

The best thing for Mudryk is being bedded in gently. 

Mudryrk situation is just a consequence of not signing players for a system, Arsenal scouted/identified him based on how they set up. Seeing him drop deep to retrieve balls, spending the majority of his game time so far with Mount and others crowding him out on the left side / Cucurella passing back instead of forward, having to try and pull off the spectacular out of frustration. And now, it’s gone from bad to worse for him, with Potter expected to stick to the tried and tested system which makes him redundant as a wide winger. At Arsenal, it was all there for him to shine from the get go and there would be no silly Internet talk of players wellfair.
