March 19, 20233 yr Considering he had a good game last time out, pretty surprised he couldn't even get on the pitch. Maybe the modern player isn't fit enough to play one game a week, or just a matter or rotation to get 20 players in shape for that CL ties, only the manager knows. Yesterday was the kind of game we needed to win to build on momentum and get players in form, instead all we got was frustrations

March 19, 20233 yr Mudryk starting one week then getting dropped the following week for Pulisic and not even coming on as a substitute is something I can't get my head round. Its absolutely bonkers tbh.

He keeps giving game time to people who are no doubt going out in the summer rather than try and bed in the new players we've spent money on.
March 21, 20233 yr Carvajal is on his last legs. He was turned inside out against Barcelona the other night. It would be very smart to put Mudryk at LF with Chilwell overlapping. (should it work in execution). But I doubt Potter drops either Felix, Havertz, or a fully fit Sterling.

And if Pulisic performs "okay" like he did against Everton for more matches until the end we might just might find some bait in terms of getting a good price for him.

March 21, 20233 yr I don't think any manager ever thinks about a "shop window" mentality when their job and reputation is on the line.

Even soon to be league winner Zinchenko. I don't think playing for a small country against a giant like England is any way to judge a player personally.
April 1, 20233 yr We’ve been completely shafted - again! He’s talentless and has as little backbone as Havertz.
April 1, 20233 yr You can see his raw ability but he fails in execution. This set up doesn't do him any favors as I reckon he'd run riot at Arsenal or Liverpool.

April 1, 20233 yr That shot was pathetic. Where was the intent on that shot? He basically passed it to the keeper. He's young and needs time, of course, but those sort of chances need to be better.

The club needs a genuine investigation, from top to bottom, on why attacking players don't thrive here.

He had only made 29 appearances for Shakhtar in the Ukrainian league. The Premier League is a major step up and he looks out of his depth at present. He might prove to be a good investment one day, but right now he needs a loan before he is ready to play regularly. Same with Madueke I'd say.

Same with Madueke I'd say. All of them do by the looks of it. All of these young players don't even look better than Championship standard right now. Doesn't help that the more experienced players we did buy are all sh*t.

He might be able to participate in a riot, but that miss were stunning (and, yes I used me feigned Barnsley accent for the last two words of that sentence).
April 1, 20233 yr Could have run himself and the ball unopposed into the goal if he didn't take the shot. He's fast, got a few tricks, but far away from the end product. Again, I will go back to the Everton game. He was good the game before, wasn't pick for Everton for no fault of his own( apart from given Pullisic a game), and he delivered nothing in the game after. Just like other selections today, the manager ( or the owner) just picking numbers out of a hat when comes to selecting best 11 on the day.
