April 1, 20233 yr Any new player coming into the premiership needs CONSECUTIVE games under their belt to adjust. Playing 1/2 a game and then being dropped, would wreck anyones confidence. Find yourself through on goal, and the overriding thought, is if i miss this i'm out again, piling extra pressure on. They're all gun shy, petrified to try for fear of missing, this guarantees they do miss. I'd much rather see lots of attempts, with most missed, as some will get through. Every game is a different team, formation or tactic, none of them can settle and build partnerships. And the golden rule is you never change the defense, unless it's forced on you. KK and CC was a fiasco because there no communication, they don't get how the other thinks and plays.
April 2, 20233 yr So disappointed with this signing considering that we nicked him from Arsenal who went on to sign the better and more sensible player Trossard.

Well said.. and after the De Bruyne & Salah fiasco, i would be very patient with any young talent & give them all the time in the world. Potter isn’t also helping with his structure & his tactics.

This kid will go places, but GP has used him inconsistently. That and the team in general being horribly out of form don't help either. Edited April 2, 20233 yr by Malcolm9
April 2, 20233 yr Crazy to be going after this bloke.. he has pace and skill a little raw- has strength too. He is 21 coming from a work torn country.. when did CFC fans be so unrealistic and unfair.. the blame lies solely on established players - Felix 1mil a game signing? havertz German international- generational talent? Same happened to Timo and he never recovered. A player cannot be a confidence player to be a world beater. The likes of Messi and Ronaldo never bothered by confidence. The likes of Torres was.

I don’t think you can use them in the same sentence as these folks.. we are looking at maybe mane levels in the future as a barometer. when salah came in or KDB came in they were equally raw. Most players are confidence players. Time was 24 this guy is 21 . We have to have patience- it’s much easier to develop in an environment that is easy it’s in time like these we have to protect our young players.
April 2, 20233 yr I'm not jumping to conclusions on any of our players. With that f*ckwit in charge none of them have any hope in finding their best form.

This is exactly what I am thinking. Critisizing players is meaningless at this point. The problem is the manager. He has been here for a long time and I am still 100% clueless as to what he actually wants to accomplish. Not only do we have absolutely no coherent game plan, we also change line-ups every week. Not even going to mention the shocking substitutions we see week in week out.
April 2, 20233 yr I agree that clueless manager is dangerously affecting our players ability. I am seriously concerned about good players wanting to join us. Why would Nkunku, Osimhen join us knowing their ability will be curtailed? Look at Felix. thank god Enzo is in his own altogether.

It’s obvious he’s damaging them, god only knows what he’s saying to them in training or the dressing room…. The man looks depressed and is probably talking a load of therapeutic psychobabble sh*te to them that they don’t need or understand , draining them of confidence .. it’s going to take a player with balls like Mount or Enzo to display public dissent towards him and kick off in the dugout ……… I have tickets for the Brighton game and don’t really want to go with my son if this misfit is still there

I’m in my first season of coaching in an U7 team in London …. all the 8 boys are supposed to get equal game time which is very disruptive , and some have two left feet and should be on a rugby pitch,… I changed it up and kept a core of 5 players on for several games, the parents of the clueless kids kicked off but we were winning. It’s football and the basics don’t change from grassroots to PL
April 2, 20233 yr Too quick to write him off. A young player like him needs time to adapt to a new league and club. Some of the things he does are frustrating, but it's natural. If not for the money paid for him, which was a lot, he wouldn't be criticised. Remember how quickly everyone wrote off Salah? There are a myriad of other young players who got wrote off and then went on to succeed. We have paid a lot of money for other players in the past who should have done better and didn't with way more time than Mudryk has been given. Look at Havertz, almost £80m for him and I'm still waiting for him to be the game changer we paid for him to be. If he's still not showing improvement next season then I will be a little concerned, but no reason to write him off any time soon. Lampard's first two seasons weren't that good, but then he grew into his ability. The same for Drogba. Both were around the same age as Mudryk when they joined Chelsea. April 2, 20233 yr Had he gone to the Arse, i suspect he would be being touted as being the signing of the season. He would have slotted right in there. With us he's not being used to his potential, we consistently have bought the best, and then used them differently to their usual style of play. Then wondered why they were rubbish. Yesterday was a prime example, i don't think anyone could deny, Kante and Enzo together would be a match made in heaven that every other team would envy. Where the f%^& was Kante playing when he came on. Havertz is NOT a striker. The only game i can remember him playing in a position where he is most used to, we dumped Dortmund out of CL. Any striker we have on the books couldn't do a worse job, so why not TRY. It can't be worse.

Mudryk has joined the current inferior team. He would be more suited to Arsenal. I think a lot of people called it at the time. We are all over the place. Trossard is joining a well-gelled team. Doesn't surprise me.
April 2, 20233 yr The Arse are in a position where they buy the player that fits where they want. We buy the supposed best expecting them to fit somewhere different to what they're used to.

April 2, 20233 yr I always thought Torres, wasn't as good as everyone thinks, and that his time at Loonypool, was just a purple patch, we got the real thing.

I wouldn't agree it was a purple patch but he certainly wasn't the best striker in the world like many claimed, he wasn't even the best Spanish striker.

He was top drawer in his prime for Liverpool but we bought him after he had been declining for about 18 months. He was a Roman signing, in the same way Shevchenko was. Both well past their best but the owner was always going to get his way.

April 2, 20233 yr Torres scored that goal against Barca which makes up for the rest of his time here in my eyes. Mudryk: you can see he has something about him & he’s making the mistakes young players do so I don’t think anyone should be worried.
April 2, 20233 yr Did get both of his goal attempts on target yesterday, which is an improvement on a few forwards we've had in recent times. Really put his foot through the first one as well. Martinez made a good save from that one.
