Mykhailo Mudryk signs for Chelsea

Featured Replies

Maybe because we're crap and anything slightly positive to me looks good but apart from his touch and the sitter he missed I still like the look of him as a player. He's quick and direct with his passing and always looks for the give and go. Hes always tries to be positive when he has the ball, im not really dissapointed with any of the signings we've made apart from Auba and potentially Sterling (good player, I just think we've signed him coming to the end of his career which started very very young).

Im excited to see what Pochettino can do with him.

Did well last night in the Germany friendly. Should have had an assist but his teammate flubbed the easy chance. Scored via a deflection off Rudiger. Cripes, he's quick.

Are you talking about the pass to havertz or something else? 😂

I really, really hope this kid makes it. You can see he wants it IMO. A couple of times we have seen him get his angry head on in games and that is great. A big contrast to the likes of CHO and Sterling who haven't got an ounce of natural aggression and fight between them.

Couldn't agree more.

That's the one thing that leaves me having some hope for him. CHO was an utter coaster, never struck me as a a player with the right mentality to make it as a too grade footballer. I think Mudryk does have that, more worried that it isn't enough to compensate for what appears to be some serious limitations in his technical ability.. accepting he is still young

I think he's got fantastic technical ability, but he's learning the harsh lesson that executing it somewhere other than a farmer's league or TikTok is a whole different challenge

If he channel that anger in defense, that will be great.

This season is massive for him. He has to develop and kick on this season. Otherwise, we’ll be 1.5 seasons in and left with an £89m flop on an 8 year contract. We can’t have that.

The good thing is that I think we can all see signs and flashes of brilliance. With abit of confidence and proper team structure, I’m confident he will come good.

There’s a player in there. Really hope he gets his head down and Pochettino helps him adapt to PL football. These conversations could look very different in a years time

great game from him

I thought the first 40 seconds it was a piss take video as all he did was pass it backwards 😅

Got a lot better though a couple of lovely bits of play and a great ball in for the headed goal.

Got serious pace, probably a great fit for a team playing on the counter. His techniques are still much to be worked on, if he improves on that he'd be some player.

Reminds me a lot of Chelsea's version of Salah or Utd's CR7 when he first came over from Portugal. A season to work on his technique and he'll be so good.

Am I the only one who is not impressed at all?

That 1st assist is just I am a much better athlete than my opp. It doesn't work in PL. I will be far more impressed if he does something like this

The 2nd assists is just hilarious. Not only murdyk has all the time and space to do whatever he want, his target is also free as a bird in the middle of opp box.

I think everyone would be far more impressed if he turned into Messi... You've pulled a clip that probably only Messi, Hazard and Neymar could recreate. Going to be a long few years if you're expecting any of our players to do that any time soon!
