Hope to see Potter take a leaf from Solksjaer's United, 4-3-1-2 - wide players bang out of form/unrealistic expectations so two up front and use fullbacks for width;

                         Kepa
James - W Fofana - Badiashile - Chilwell
          Mount - Enzo - Zakaria
                      Havertz
                   Auba - Felix

Losing Silva has adjusted my preferred line up for this game.

Would like to see us start with a 433, that allows us to switch to a back 3 with ease without the need to make subs.

Kepa

James

Fofana

Badiashile

Chilwell

Zakaria

Chalobah

Enzo

Sterling

DD.Fofana

Mudryk

I have been calling for Trev to take on his other natural position as a DM for a while. We need leaders, he is one, and it frees Enzo and Zaka. Also means Potter can switch back and forth to this with ease.

Kepa

W.Fofana

Chalobah

Badiashile

James

Zakaria

Enzo

Chilwell

Sterling

DD.Fofana

Mudryk.

This team I believe will have the guts needed for the fight, and get us some goals and a rare 3 points.

I like the idea of trying Chalobah in DM. He's played plenty of professional games there, so should have a good understanding of how to play the role.

Certainly a good way to add some physicality and steel to the midfield, in what is likely to be a bit of a scrap game against Leeds.

I can't imagine seeing Aubamayo in the starting lineup but who knows...

I like it, but I think there's a close to 0% chance we see this

I think we'll play 4231 again, and I can't see it looking much better than it has done.

Back 4 doesn`t suit our squad. Time to admit it. Our biggest strengths are James and Chilwell and neither have the necessary freedom to go forward in a back 4.

----------------Kepa-----------------

--------Fofana--KK--Badi-----------

James-----------------------Chilwell

---------Enzo-----Zakaria-----------

----Felix-----Auba-------Sterling----

Besides, I have ZERO confidence in any CB pairing without Thiago Silva in it. He is the one that keeps us together defensively. With a back 3 this is less of a problem especially now that Fofana is back. He should be absoluty perfect at RCB to cover for KKs lack of pace and agility.

That is a very reasonable alternative to 4 3 3 and if it was Conte or Tuchel the wing backs would be effective but Potter copying what they did, and they used them differently to each other, is another matter.

I like the idea of Felix wide right rather than through the centre

Personally disagree that we have to have Silva. There may be a mistake or two in the others but we have to move on from Silva.

4 3 3 is the other way to go and  I want to play Gallagher on the right of a three.

James ----Fofana ----Badi ----Chiller

Kova (if fully fit)/Gallagher ---- Enzo ----Zakaria(Chukwumeka for sub)

Felix-------  Auba/Havertz -----------------------Sterling (Mudryk or Mount to sub)

You could also play Zakaria in the centre of the three and Enzo on one side, in fact that might be better.

Three in the midfield will provide a lot better defence against counter attacks and the wide midfielders have liberty to get forward and go beyond from time to time. Its Gallagher's natural role and I expect Chukwumeka as well.

For me Kova is used to playing in that system and in the alternative Gallagher has the midfield toughness required and will find it much easier to get forward in a 3.

I used to think Mount would be good in left midfield but he isn't strong enough to do the defensive and ball winning side of the job and his best peformances have come wide left, playing a bit deeper than Sterling will

Mudryk could maybe also play on the right, it would be good if he could and he has time to learn unlike Sterling who should play in his best position.

Maybe you should be the manager.

This is also a workable solution

Yeah, it's almost as if some people want us to play with 11 men.

At the point where I honestly don't care anymore who or how we lineup. We are going to be sh*t.

One thing is for certain though. Havertz gets a full 90.

Just watched the highlights of Fulham vs Leeds FA Cup tie, and Leeds looked way too good for the likes of us LOL.

Basically got done by two wonder strikes.

xG score : Fulham 0.19 Leeds 1.53

Quite nervous about this one having watched that ... Leeds creating a lot of chances ...

I'd go for a back 3 too, our best chances of leading to goals come from James and Chiwell, and playing back 4 we have seen very limited of them. Add a bit of height in defending set pieces would help too, we saw the defending against Spurs, Mount on Dier and nobody on Kane 🤥 I still don't get the magics with XG, but from the limited highlights I saw from Leeds, they are more than capable to score 1 or 2 against us without Silva.

Yes, I'm also hoping for a back 3. Since our coach is tactically brain dead, maybe a system change will confuse the opponent into thinking we have some sort of brain on the bench. That should take us to half the time. After the break, maybe we should go to church and light a candle, say a prayer, confess our sins. If it goes wrong, alcohol can help us believe we will qualify with Dortmund.
*We should not drink too much alcohol, can harm our health.

And forgot to mention that the last two games we had special circumstances. One team had an interim on the bench who only coached Valencia U18, and the other had a surgery, probably coaching the team through WhatsApp. So yeah, i feel quite confident for the next game.

in fact with the Borussia game only 3 days later and James carrying a long term knee injury it may be better if challobah or RLC plays right back. Personally I think both of them make quite good right backs, probably RLC preferred as he is strong carrying the ball forward. Playing RLC at right back would let us get someone else into midfield.

Even though certain permutations would suggest that even Grimsby could beat us, surely we can't lose again.

Havertz can dine out on that goal but I  think his time is up. He's no No.9.

Leeds create a lot of chances based on their style of play. I wouldn't expect any different on Saturday, and I'd say we will do well to keep a clean sheet. On the flip side their defense has been less impressive and we should have a fair amount of opportunities. Would be nice to think that we could actually take a few of our chances for once. Hard to imagine this one will end 0-0 for sure.

Don't rest or rotate anyone for this game, pick the best 11. I rather we get knocked out via Dortmound than losing to Leeds, just imagine coping the chant and abuse from their fans on our home turf. Can we call this a must win? Because anything short is just dismal even by Brighton standard.

Think I have found a way to ride this one out. I have tested positive for Covid today so hopefully if I self isolate the dust would have settled by the time I come out of it  so I don't have to run the gauntlet at work like I did this week.

Agreed. We need to turn this around as soon as possible. Also I think if we beat Leeds it sends us into the Dortmund game with a little more confidence. We shouldn't be looking beyond this game at present.
