My mate who is very into cycling once told me that the pro cyclists have to train themselves not to throw their arms out when they're falling as there is a massive risk of snapping a bone or ruining a joint. Basically you have to go against your instincts and try to land on the fleshy part of your upper arm; your skin might get ripped up but you're unlikely to break a bone or dislocate a joint. I think Can just showed us why.
