Our game was developing, faster and loads of chances being created, I thought we were getting very close to something good.

Now we've gone backwards within just one game

Potter is a much better manager than Lampard I'll say that.

Still, if sacking him means someone like Nagelsmann or De Zerbi comes in it was the right choice

Looked very good when he first came here, but Potter coached that out of him. Still an upgrade on Pulisic/Ziyech

Nope, he simply got found out by EPL defenders after a week weeks.

Didn't think anyone could make us any worse that what we were, but somehow Frank has managed it.  9 games left in the league and it really doesn't matter what anyone does.  2 games against Real which will be embarrassing if we play this bad. Whoever comes in during the summer has a massive rebuilding job on their hands. This is a disaster.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, we’ve had our 15 minutes and it’s all over now. We’re in Everton of the last 30 years territory now.  There is no way back to the top, we’re a comedic catastrophe. It’ll just take time for everyone to realise that this is just the way it is now.

The problem is many people 'expect' us to be top 4 without looking at the reality!  At least under Potter we had something, we were a goalscorer and a defensive mistake away from being a pretty good team.........now we have NOTHING.

Worse than what we were? Did you watch any of the last few games under Potter? We were playing decent stuff at times. Couldn't score - but the football was decent and we were creating chances.

Was a million miles away from this dross

This EXACTLY! Were now getting what 'some' of us on here deserve!

Always was at best Championship level manager.

He broke Derby's finances to take them from 6th to 6th (whilst also having Mount and Tomori on loan), Championship level might be a stretch 😂

Why couldn't James get onto that pass from Kepa? Yes, it was a sh*t pass, but it's not like it went straight out of play. If that is Kante, he turns and makes an effort to keep that in. James is as bad as anybody when it comes to giving up when things are tough. For a so called world class player that loves Chelsea, I would expect him to working harder than most.

We were still bad, now we're even worse

600million on top of a CL winning sqaud to be close to a pretty good team?

Give your head a wobble

Think this spell will permanently end Lampards managerial career.

Just isn’t cut out for it,

He didn't manage enough at a lower level. Unfortunately for him, we came knocking at the door. Well, it's good news for his bank account, but his managerial career will have to take a big blip for it. If he wants to be a manager he's going to have to accept Championship Teams at the very least.

Or given his recent track record of lucky appointments he'll probably be managing Manchester City come next season.

I’m really confused, I was for sure no fan of Potter and wanted him gone, but what is the point of sacking him to bring Lampard here as a manager? Why? What was the purpose? We sucked before and will suck under Lampard too.

I just don’t get it

Yeah I don't get why people are having a go at the Potter out fans, none of us thought we were replacing him with Frank Lampard 😂

We might want to consider getting a few minutes into the legs of either Kanté or Zakaria.

Never mind... wouldn't be a true car crash Chelsea performance without one of the few good players getting injured.
