I hope you will remember these words in a week.

I go in with no expectations, but I didn't go in with any this week either.

Boehly is a moron and is doing his best to undo Roman's work. I am happily surprised when we win.

Lampard hinted at something about the second goal that i said in real time but nobody else seems to have picked up.

When the ball span up in the air for the corner that resulted in the second goal, did anyone else think that if Fofana had been on his toes he could have easily reached the ball and hoofed it out for a throw in. Was that what Lampard was hinting at as well?

It’s utterly broken. What’s happened/happening to CFC is tectonic - an implosion beyond anyone’s control now that I fear most haven’t come to terms with yet and I hope I’m wrong. Probably am.

People scrambling for analogous situations- “remember that time we overturned a 0-2 deficit and went on to win the competition.”  The optimism is admirable and credit to you all. Anything is possible. But I think things are going to get worse, and maybe a lot worse. This isn’t the same as those low points during the Roman era. It’s a full on regime change.

We were incredibly lucky Madrid were not on it tonight. It could have been a lot worse. This tie is over for me because we have nothing.

Two things are a priority next season. A striker and most importantly a world class manager. Frank is way out of his depth and he doesn’t have the personalities to grind out wins like Robbie did.

I don’t blame the players tonight, they had no idea what they were doing. The board have to take fault of everything this season.

I’d have a goalkeeper above everything else, a tactical genius nor a striker is going to compensate for the absolute liability of our goalkeeping options. Nothing represents our fall from grace more than what came after Courtois.

Toney has scored 18 goals playing for Brentford this season. At Chelsea with the amount of chances weve created in games he scores 30 and We win half the games weve lost and were in the top four. My point is of course having a striker in a specialist position makes a difference, it also allows other players to play and thrive as theres a focal point and gives the other team something to worry about. We dont have goalscorers in midfield to play without a striker.

That was the same logic with Lukakau last season and see how that panned out

The goal was a shambles. We totally turned off, James and Cucurella not looking at the corner, Kante left minding three players and four in turn left free on the edge of box

It's funny because Tuchel praised his sides performance for 70 minutes last night despite a 3-0 loss.

It's almost as if doing so is a thing with managers other than Potter aswell

The entire department is poor unfortunately. I'm realy disappointed because i rate Ben Roberts but there is something not right because none of the goalkeepers are much up to scratch.

DD Fofana , supposedly cut from the same cloth as Drogba... where tf is he?

I agree, but i even think that it could have been puit out for a throw instead of a corner anyway. All of it totally avoidable.

A striker won’t solve anything. We are completely devoid of ideas. Put Haaland in this team and he would struggle.

We need a world class manager. I’ve seen how Bayern fans reacted after last night and they were extremely furious about the sacking of Nagelsmann. Makes me think he must be pretty decent. Get him sorted asap.

watching Man City last night just demonstrates how devoid we are of team spirit .. this is going to take two seasons to sort, at least

I think Frank should play him at the weekend. Something has to change up front

yeah right, big strong lad bought in to bully defences and score goals ... Felix is an exhibition player ..Simeone must be laughing his head off

they switched off and left 4 RM players lining up to strike... I men what the actual f is going in with these boys

worse thing for me tonight was glimpsing the Chelsea players in the tunnel waiting to come out for the 2nd half... nobody talking to each other, heads down, far away stares... no leaders in there, shocking really .. at least two seasons to sort this out

Totally different. Strikers come in all different shapes, sizes, and abilities.

Both Kane and Ivan Toney's movement, touch, work rate, physical agression, aerial abilities and in Kane's case footballing brain, are miles ahead of Lukaku.
