February 5, 20242 yr Players should not get a pass because of Poches failings though, I hope we remember that. Is not like they are running through brick walls for us and being undone by Poches subs or lack of tactics. Some of them look overweight, most look lazy or disinterested. The dont share care for their craft. Are they staying behind to work after training like Lamps would do to help his game? Are they taking the time to rest properly or using free time for nights out and video games? Where is the gritt to make something happen, to turn it around? Most of them seem happy to just pick up their wages and phone it in.

Obviously taken with a pinch of salt but there have been some reports from "club sources" that a number of players have declined to stay behind and do extra training, are lacking in motivation, and are unhappy at the club.
February 5, 20242 yr Look if the players aren't up for it that is on the manager. It's the manager's number 1 job to have the players ready to sacrifice themselves for their team mates. No 1 job. How the manager does that is up to the manager but the players have to buy in. That can be because they believe they can win, they like the manager, they like the tactics, they fear the manager or whatever but if the players arent' fit, motivated and more or less functioning as a team that is totally on the manager. Pretty much the first thing a manager does is identify trouble makers and sideline them. You have to.

February 5, 20242 yr Think our time as being a voice in the European elite is over. At the very least on standby. No way this sh*t gets any better within the next few years.

If you are professional and you take pride in your craft, you are passionate about it, an incompetent boss does not stop you giving your all for your ability to look in the mirror and say, with pride, I did my best. Was it down to Avram Grant we were a JT slip away from winning the CL? Was it RDM brilliant managerial ability that won the day against Munich? No, the achievement, were inspite of having incompetent managers. They players rose to the occasion, they said no, we are giving our very best. This group are not doing that.
February 5, 20242 yr Like Jose said back in the days - need the good eggs to make omelets. Right now we just don't have that many good eggs, a better manager will get more out of this bunch, but the ceiling is low for this bunch apart a selected few. You can't have players that miss 2 or 3 big chances a game before they hit the target, defenders who have very limited concentration, or midfielders just can't be bothered to chase back. Sacking Poch is a very realistic option, but better have a plan figured out before that, or it's another season write off, and it's barely February

Unfit players not prepared to put the work in on the training ground and in the gym. Reducing tactical analysis sessions because it's too much for the players to take. Fck me. Poor fckers having to try to absorb all that information. If true, what a bunch of entitled tossers.
February 5, 20242 yr A lot things leaked in the press today, probably by the board themselves or players' agents. Most Chelsea fans know that when that starts it means the manager is going to be gone soon. I imagine if we lose the next couple of games, Poch will be sacked.
February 5, 20242 yr https://thebylineshow.com/news/pochettino-knows-his-time-is-coming-to-an-end/ Sources saying that Poch isn’t happy, that he isn’t keen on Caicedo and working relationships are not great within the club. No idea if it’s true or not but you have to say the players look miserable. What a mess. Who’s realistically going to want this job. 3 permanent managers have worked with the new owners and they all last months. Absolutely ridiculous

February 5, 20242 yr Chilwell’s comments also worried me that “they wanted it more”. For our vice captain to publicly say that is very worrying.

If the fans think the players aren't trying, or the manager isn't good enough, the ultras just collar them as they come out of the training ground and threaten them. Surely it has to be worth a try. Anyone fancy a morning a Cobham?

Never understand why managers have to come with their coaching staff.

So a manager will be a person who likes pressure , intense football, but he will be surrounded in his staff with persons who like parking bus. Thats really genius ............... February 5, 20242 yr Think I’ll be spending a lot of time watching ‘premier league years’ for the next few weeks as this sh*t show pans out.

Who is his son. That doesn't seem right to me. It also doesn't seem right that we seemingly have Poch, 3 first team coaches, and 4 first team goalkeeping coaches. It all seems a bit insane. Klopp and Pep have fresh blood in their ranks. Poch has had the same team for 10 years.

Thats up to him Klopp and Jelko Buvac, no one can tell what was the reason Buvac to left Jose is also with his staff from long time. Ancelotti's son is in his staff............ better to ask Todd about his words a year ago: I can't understand English football and relegation zone. In America we have East and West Super league and generate 200m".... What this is suppose to mean????? Is he here to change European football and to make 500m per year , performance and building a team is on second or third place?? Edited February 6, 20242 yr by JJ8

No, the achievement, were inspite of having incompetent managers. They players rose to the occasion, they said no, we are giving our very best. This group are not doing that. It is absolutely true that the players can be up for it even if they don't like the manager. But professionals in every business are more motivated at some times than at others. In the champion's league final the players were up for it because its the pinnacle of success and most of them had worked years to get to those finals. They did for themselves and not even because they were professionals. But those same players went on strike and told Vilas Boas to piss off. Over the course of a season even professional players need to be given motivation and reasons. If you do take pride in your job but your boss keeps stuffing it up you are going to get grumpy and demotivated. This can also happen I guess at the end of your career when you want to blame someone else for your shortcomings and so you become a trouble maker. I definitely don't put Silva in that category. I reckon he is your true pro. But I also think he just can't play in a back 4 but equally playing a back 3 just to hide Silva's lack of legs is also the wrong answer. I dunno I got up at 3 am in sydney to watch that wolves game and I do it week after week. For some dumb reason I look forward to it. Einsteins definition of madness. My overwhelming feeling remains that the players have more to offer than it seems right now.

Usually what happen is that some of the staff move somewhere or try to do something else and you get a new guy.
February 6, 20242 yr This just pop up on my twitter. Now I understand why people hate on certain player. It is hilarious reading how a lot fans analyze football. - Chilwell need to track the runner - Chilwell need to be aware of runner behind him. -Chilwell need to learn how teleport 😂😂 It's like I want player A to be the problem. It doesn't matter if the evidence says otherwise. If I want to be nitpicky, Chilwell should be closer to semedo. Will that prevent the pass? Not really, it will make it harder but that is such a basic passage of play.

Absolutely ridiculous Let's not forget we are also just months away from them completely ruining the finest club side in English women's football and one of the best sides in the European women's game. And they will kill it, 100%. Look at their track record with everything else. I also don't believe a word of these media soundbites, this departure of Emma Hayes is going to be down to Winstanley, Stewart or both. The whole upper echelons here are systematically dismantling our club as an institution.
