October 21, 20232 yr So want to beat this lot and shut up their fans and the ever so annoying Arteta, but would take a draw and a decent performance. Come On The Chels - do us Proud!

Here's to beating Arsenal so I can wind-up my brother-in-law. Attending two Chelsea matches this weekend. A Blues double would be terrific. KTBFFH Sounds like the perfect day Boyne. Let's hope our boys are up for it and don't ruin your day.

October 21, 20232 yr CHELSEA XI: Sanchez; Cucurella, Silva, Mudryk, Sterling, Enzo, Palmer, Caicedo, Colwill, Gusto, Gallagher [C] #CFC (@C345Sam)

October 21, 20232 yr Not a strong starting 11 and not much of a bench either.....God these injuries are killing us.
October 21, 20232 yr Oh god, Saka vs Cucurella worries me. But on we go. Shame we have no striker - Arsenal appear at full strength. Surprised Jackson isn't starting, but probably the most complete (by name, not fitness) bench we have had this season.
October 21, 20232 yr Don’t want to be a pessimist, but not sure how we are going to contain their front three. Anyway, come on Chelsea!!! Let’s do this.
October 21, 20232 yr Very strong bench Whoever Poch picks someone thinks they know better let the man who trains with the players daily pick the team Edited October 21, 20232 yr by El regreso

October 21, 20232 yr That line up against the best away defence in the league? Chelsea 0 looking like a very good bet @Modueke I really should change my prediction in Zetas thread. No way we are keeping them to 1 with Saka and Martinelli cutting in and destroying those 2 fullbacks.
October 21, 20232 yr Yeah, this lineup doesn't instil any confidence in me but since I don't know what's happening behind the scenes, I hope/assume that Poch has something up his sleeve.
October 21, 20232 yr I guess palmer is the false 9 flanked by mudryk and sterling. Looks like poch wants to stretch the arsenal backing. We need to expose zinchenko

We need to expose zinchenko With who is out we would have been better having Lesley and Maatsen in instead of Sterling and Palmer. Set up a block of 414 ahead of Sanchez, 2 players each for Saka and Martinelli to beat rather than 1, Gallagher pressing Rice and Jorgi, Caicedo man marking Odegaard and playing long balls for Mudryk to chase after. Might nick a point that way.
October 21, 20232 yr Arsenal are minimum 3 years ahead of us in their development doesn’t matter who we put out they are far more of a team than us.
October 21, 20232 yr I suppose that front three (presumably with Sterling central) makes for a more effective pressing unit. I’m guessing we’re going to try and catch them on the break. No idea what Cucurella is doing in the lineup if that’s the case (particularly if we’re missing a centre forward). Not a lot of height in that XI, and dropping Disasi only exacerbates the problem. Odd.
