& just like that he has stuck 2 GKs on the bench again & playing Jackson off Broja. Poch is very confusing.

Imagine Jackson is at LW.

Can only see this being due to Mudryk not being 100%, and making a point to Sterling about putting the team first.

I thought it'd be Jackson on the left and Palmer off Broja.

I sort of get playing both. Broja needs confidence and Luton might be his best chance to score. Jackson off to AFCON so no worries about injuries?

Yeah we're not winning this are we. Starting with 9 men and a left back who doesn't know how to play at left back.

Who should he have started instead?

Good to see Madueke earning a starting spot. I probably would have gone for Sterling over one of Jackson or Broja.

That said, I am looking forward to the day when we finally see our best attacking trident of Sterling, Palmer and Nkunku start together.

Hopefully at some point in the second half, with Sterling and Nkunku coming on for Jackson and Broja 🙂

Barkley to score the winner?  Technically we should be better, however guaranteed we'll get out worked, out muscled and done like dinner unless we start with some intensity and look like we came here to play. If we start slow and start pissing around at the back you'd just as well go shopping with the Mrs and save yourself the embarrassment.  This should be 3 points all day long but with this lot its a box of chocolates.

So let's replace our two scorers/most likely with a pair who couldn't score in a charity brothel..

I really don't get it, we have no European games so get a rythum going and play the best 11 with the others fighting for a starting spot.

I think most of the squad are crocked or ill, or why would he leave four players of what might be considered starters on the bench.  This has been a season of injuries, operations, inconsistency, inexperience, ineptness, missed chances and bad decisions from the top down.

Maatsen at left back then Jackson OR Broja, both of them starting is horrendous, surely Nkunku, Mudryk or Sterling are fit enough to start.

Maatsen at left back is a non-starter based on what we have seen from Maatsen this season (and last season at Burnley).

I suspect Sterling is fit to start, but I see that as making a point about the need to be a team player, and to be honest I'm with Poch on that one.

The continued policy of 2 GKs is daft though. Surely there is someone in the academy, in a position we don't have cover for, who could more usefully make up the numbers on the bench ?

Bs about the team player thing. The point is changing one or even two forwards fine. Changing 3 of the 4 I can’t agree with.

Quite like that team. Would have N'kunku instead of Jackson, and Badiashile at least on the bench. Two keepers on the bench is definitely overkill.

Well he's clearly had to leave out Nkunku and Mudryk based on fitness and condition, and he's kept Jackson in the side. So did you want him to retain Maatsen at RW ? 🙂

Club's Mobile App has confirmed Badiashile left out due to injury.

Of course he is. Six months?

Is Lavia out injured again?
