So you don't like fancy passes? What more do you want from his game? He's not much of an attacking midfielder, so he may not score many goals for you, so what more do you want from his game?

You don't even want him to be starting for Argentina, because according to you he is overrated, there are many people in Argentina, so they should have many players that are better than him that should be starting, he shouldn't be starting for Argentina? Isn't that so?

Terrible people.

Weirdo

Just think the criticism of Caicedo is ridiculous. Gave the ball away once bit otherwise did well. Basically the only midfielder we had after Gallagher ran out of puff   As well as the interceptions and tackles carried the ball brilliantly down the touchline.
‘Jackson ran down some blind alleys but held the ball well and  looked good on the ball. He is looking the part more week by week. Only Broja really wasn’t up to much, and nkunku.

Agree, What Caicedo need is a better partner with better positional awareness and Gallagher is not that player. Gallagher tries everything and give 100% but he is nowhere close to someone like Kante/Fabregas./Essien /Ballack etc.

Our best defence is probably James, Fofana, Badiashile, Chilwell. Our #1 GK is Sanchez (although personally I prefer Petrovic)

Our specialist DMs are Lavia and Ugochukwu

That's probably all worth remembering in terms of what we are seeing defensively at the moment ....

Bizarre isn't it nearly all have been injured for some time, Badiashile less so yet how can you build a team with that injury risk on most is beyond me.

Just my opinion chief. Bit harsh like.

You may get a chance to find out if and when Gallagher is sold. But perhaps cast your mind back to Man United away when we were totally overrun in midfield with Caicedo and Enzo in midfielder, and Gallagher suspended.

A lot of people believe that there is no such thing as covering the ground and winning the ball back. Just point and poof the ball is back to your feet. 🤭🤭🤭

If we were talking a Liverpool win helps us towards the title then I am all for it, but for it to help us move closer to one spot up from 10th? Nah, not looking for favours for them. We put ourselves in this mess losing to dross like Forest, Brentford and Wolves.

Weird take. If you watch the games you see Gallagher improved a lot with his positioning and isn't a headless chicken or whatever.

That game was too nerve wracking. I was so close to not watching those last few minutes as my heart was racing up and down. Although we conceded 2 late on and were close to conceding 3, I thought the defence generally done well. If they did get back, Poch would defo had to take a lot of the blame. I think he left Sterling on the bench to teach him a lesson after his selfish display against Wolves, but we really could of done with him in the second half for the counter attack and added attacking threat.

Palmer brilliant but I do believe with the nature of the game as we were being dominated heavily for the past 20 minutes, he should have come off for Sterling. Palmer is very good attackingly, however when being dominated is not as effective in terms of keeping up with the defence side as he is not blisteringly fast so sometimes the game can run past him. Noticed it against United too. Couple times or more yesterday, Chong was racing through our midfield and Palmer was doing his best to catch him but could not to a point where I wanted Palmer to get a yellow card just to take one for the team. But we were being trapped by Luton and no escape route. Thankfully we held on to the win but like I say I also think Poch's lack of subs did not help.

Can we finally do something we have not managed to do all season against Fulham? Get 3 league wins on the trot? Hopefully not... Nice to end 2023 on a win anyway as a Luton equalizer would have ruined my whole evening tonight.

I get what you are saying but sometimes on principle logic goes out the window and hatred prevails. I never want to see Liverpool or their whiney, entitled fans win anything. I would indeed support tottenham winning over liverpool.

I was cheering for liverpool in the spurs v scousers champions league final.

We are still the only London team to win it.

Well I for one have been critical of late.  I was excited that we managed to secure his transfer and Enzo's, and imagined as others did that this would be an exciting pair of players in midfield but it's been far from that TBH.  My understanding was, and perhaps I misunderstood, that Caicedo would be the sitting defensive midfielder playing slightly behind Enzo and whoever else the manager chose to play in midfield.  While Enzo has been pushed forward, Caicedo does not sit in front of the defence as Makele did and what Kante did in his early days before being pushed in a more forward role to win the ball higher up.  However, Caicedo wanders from his position and is often caught up the pitch when the ball is lost, and unlike Kante he doesn't have the legs to get back, he literally jogs back whereas Kante would be busting a gut to get back in position to win the ball back although he didn't have to do that in the early days, more running side to side sweeping up; there is more than one example of Caicedo jogging back in the Palace game, although he may have been playing more forward as Enzo was left out, or simply bad management by playing him forward or giving him too much freedom to roam where he leaves gaps behind him.

I'll give him the benefit of the doubt that he did not have a pre-season with us, however we are 20 games + a couple of cup games into the season, so things should have been sorted out by now.  Yes he has a 80+%  successful tackle rate but his attacking stats are very poor, so therefore his ideal position has to be a sitting defensive midfielder and not to be something that he is not, because he becomes a liability IMO.   Many of his yellow cards have been because he's late into the tackle having to scramble back or be caught out of position.

Not that I read 'The Sun' but here's there rating  of 6 against Luton - Cost more money than Luton’s entire squad so should have shown up more. Started off looking like a beast but Barkley had him on the ropes towards the end.   For £100m I certainly expected more than what I'm seeing...hopefully things in midfield will improve because right now its a disaster zone, teams are simply walking through the midfield and onto the back four far too easily.

5. You bet money on Tottenham being relegated year on year. One year, their demise will not only make you howl with laughter under a full moon, but you'll be able to afford a drink to toast their departures down the ladder.
