Played a very good half of football. Thank f**k we didn't go out there and try and match them with the slow football sh*te, they would have battered us if we did. A change of tactics, 1 or 2 touches and quick counters, it suits these players.

This.

I actually thought Jackson had been decent this half, other than the terrible missed chance. The pass for Sterling's goal was class.

Sterling, even though he's been mostly ineffective and frustrating, always offers a goal threat. It's the one good thing he's done and he did it brilliantly.

Honestly, I think we should be more than one goal up.

Half of Instagram, Twitter and YouTube won't know what to do either LOL. And all of the BBC !

Oh no I meant you don't want to run the risk of souring the takeover bid by writing that one of the potential new owners' other major assets just spent 45 minutes being slapped around by a team of kids, idiots, and two City cast-offs (one of whom scored).

Kinda like Jackson isn’t a #9, no surprise the build up for the goal came from some brilliance from Jackson out wide.

So Poch really does certain things well, the attackers always have a good amount of space in front of them as we are trying to counter attack hard and this whole first half Enzo was playing his proper position.

Great first half. Hope we see more if the same but can’t help but think they’ll score next half. I expected a clean sheet for City it’s funny what a better defence and some commitment to the cause can do !

Yeah, I was about to say. Seems quite a similar character. Really good to see, and a reminder to us all (well, at least to me) that we are way too fast to judge new players, especially when coming from another league

This a 100%

hen they start getting desperate… Nkunku can pick them off.

Not sure its his game as we need everyones workrate out there. Nkunku cheats more than Jackson/Palmer and the others.

A bit like Rudiger. Grew on me more and more over time and became a real leader

I still think he’s better suited to a backs to the wall defensive battle rather than a high line dominating possession type game.  Hopefully he can improve his positioning cause he’s got all the physical attributes to be a dominant beast of a centre back.

If anything, this would be the perfect game for Silva because we aren't playing a high line. It's more counter attacking.

Scott, that's a load of shyte.

Goal was a get out of jail card for Sterling, shyte up until then!

Disasi very impressive... Jackson playing like Jackson...

Cannot see them not scoring in 2nd half but you never know ::ChELSeAFaN::

See Jackson provider not scorer lmao.

Enjoy it while it last lads and ladies, we all know Pep will lay in to them and get the City machine firing for the second half.

Won't be winning this, bit certainly a pleasant surprise to have a good performance in that first half and be leading as well.

And we have Nkunku and Mudryk on the bench.

We MUST hold onto this lead for a good 20 minutes or so, when they start getting desperate… Nkunku can pick them off.

And what are you expecting Mudryk to do in this game Dan?
