Well I made it to the big 70 today so I am expecting great things from tonights game.  Although I fell in love with this team when I was about 10, the first game I went to was against Leeds in May 1967.  My old man took me to the game and we sat in the old West Stand...(I did eventually end up in the Shed End a few years later) I remember the train ride (steam in those days) from Reading to Paddington...a trip I did for many years thereafter, and then getting on the old tube to Fulham Broadway.  As I kid, I'd never seen so many people gathered in one place, all walking down the road towards one stadium.  We walked into the many shops along the way, including a shop that just sold old programs and other trinkets.  I was a ball boy at the old Elm Park, Reading's home ground in those days, but the walk to the Bridge was something special, the aroma of the food and the fans chanting as we walked.... anyway they were good times, the team was great and the epic Final(s) against Leeds will live on forever withe pitch at Wembley covered in sand and blood by the end of the game.

I hope our young boys recover from the disaster and stand up for what it means to wear that shirt....albeit they have driven me nuts all season!!!

Thanks for sharing that one. Tony Hateley! My old man always liked him as a striker.

@axman2526 you seem to be getting a lot of flack today. Do you want me to create another Jackson is a Donkey post to draw the attention away?

Nicely put Zeta lol. Seems to be a held belief that I need that attention, that I seek it. I don't.

If someone wants to reply/disagree with my posts great, if not great as well. We are all here cause we love Chelsea.

Ironic that a post basically labeling me an "attention seeking whore" has got me more attention that I usually get by a mile lol.

Let it go @axman2526. You've explained yourself, the thread title has been changed. Let normal order be resumed now.

I'm more than prepared to spare @goose the annoyance of reading Axman's posts in quotes, but I don't know how to hide them :blush2: I think I did that once by accident, but I don't know what I did :laugh2:

I have attempted to do so Val.

On the other part @Moduekehas clearly said the mainframe can do everything.

So the mainframe can make it happen. Probably some setting can be selected to hide all my posts so they cannot be seen.

As for threads, I wont attempt any more humors titles and will keep the match day threads and prediction ones clean and on point.

I hope Leeds dont control the game from midfield or our directors of football are likely to be in for a young welsh lad they have, i think he is valued at around 15million so we are likely to bid 50-75 million. Ampadu 😉

Too old for us now
