He had to work miracles to convince me I'm afraid, and still does.

Last season was our rebuild, we can't afford more messing around, the players need to start acting like a top 4 team and it's looking like another inconsistent mess. I do feel for him, he has been given a tough challenge, and I don't completely doubt that given the time he could maybe build an elite side. But we don't have the time for that, we can't afford that type of risk, we need to get going now, that's the f**king problem.

Either it clicks or it doesn't, not sure where we go from here. I'm praying Maresca is the one, because if he isn't, we're cooked.

We are rebuilding and are in the early stages of it. In 3-5 years if these young lads are good enough, we will have a side that is competing for the top spots.

weak from our manager, the kinda thing you shouldn't speak out loud.

Did he really say that ??

Every season we’re rebuilding because of all the comings and goings. The true is that we should have a settled team but the owners can’t make their mind up, almost as if they didn’t have a plan. And it wasn’t that difficult to keep a spine of the CL winning team and improve it.

Yup build on with Tuchel, nope sack him let's build with Potter, nope sack him in less than a year, let's bring in poch and build with him, nope let's start from scratch with Maresca.

Next year let's start again with McKenna!

Yay for normalising draws and losing. We have heard this before with other coaches.

Aye just come out with the full truth, we will respect you for it.

"Look me and my team will do the best we can to bring wins and trophies to the club, and make our fans happy"

"But you know this is not the Chelsea that won 2 champions league, titles and multiple cups under a billionaire who only cared about winning. This Chelsea cares about making money first and foremost, is why I told you Sterling was important to me one minute then had to say he was not my type of winger weeks later".

"So we are doing out best but this is the reality, with me or any other coach. Get used to it".

The problem is that I don’t see how they’re making money when they can’t shift most of the players they buy!

True but I don't really give a toss about them lining their pockets mate. In fact it would be quite fitting if it blew up in their faces given they have blown up our club.

honest, but genuine question for him from his post match interview... would he prefer to coach the current side or the one that's been sold to pay for it?

No manager or professional athlete with any kind of ambition would ever say this.

Either Maresca is sending a message to the owners this team just isnt good enough and will not meet your targets or this is scripted from the owners so we are slowly brainwashed into accepting defeat and mediocracy, whilst they try working out how they can maximise profits for themselves.

Is it though? we've just restarted the whole process again. Poch and Enzo are two completely different managers, it's like going from Klopp to Jose. I never for once said Pochettino was the man to win us trophies, but I thought hiring him was a step in the right direction due to the fact that he plays fast paced attacking football which was very suitable for the team that we had. Now we've returned to a more rigid high possession style of football that we've been desperately trying to get rid of since Sarri tookover.

Just feels like a complete waste of a season to me, yeah fair enough maybe Poch wasn't the guy to take us into top 4 next season, but at least build on that approach.

Conte spent an entire season telling us we couldn't compete even with the likes of Tottenham and it was lapped up as "honestly".

The fact it’ll take that long despite how much we’ve spent shows exactly the problem.

Are you actually comparing Conte and Maresca?

Why do I always see this kind of talk when it comes to us? Pochettino was saying this last season as well. You never see a manager of City, Liverpool, United or Arsenal say things like this, it's actually the opposite. They demand themselves to competing for as many titles as possible. Even Tottenham managers say they should be winning trophies, and they never win anything.

Different managers, same statement. So who is given them the hymn sheet?

I think Potter said the same too!

I think it's a matter of acceptance and get on with the job in hand, this is the same reason we don't go get a Conte or Jose. These managers ( in this case Enzo the coach) knew what they are in for, it's no point put extra pressure on themselves to win 5 in a row or do something extraordinary.

They had a 4 window plan which is now done. The squad is almost entirely new. Reece James is probably the only survivor from the old regime.

The squad is massively younger and more exciting in many ways.

Will all this pay off? Who knows? Will we be a powerhouse in world football once more? Hopefully. For their investment that would be good. We can't fall into midtable obscurity. Although a warning example of a side that basically wins nothing major is MU who are still massive in terms of global recognition but is casually beaten by Liverpool at their home 0-3.

I hope we don't fall into traps they have fallen into.

My hope is they let this core of brilliant talent to age a bit and get better as a unit. Hopefully with a coach that is there more than one season.

Mudryk, Neto and Felixr, all total waste of money, but all playing ahead of Nkunku. Not only our owners but also our manager is a total amateur.

Mudryk I agree 100%, with Felix I'm 50/50 at the moment but Neto? He's had 1 start for us...wtf are you talking about?
