Enzo Maresca - Chelsea "Head Coach" *Official NOW SACKED*

I love how Maresca decided before the match to bombard the Brentford box with crosses, and boy did it work. Jackson nearly got one early on and Cucu threatened a couple of times before getting the goal. 21 crosses in the first half meant we consistently got the ball in the Brentford box, causing chaos. It's totally different to how we've played so far and Brentford weren't prepared for it.

To put it in perspective, we averaged 16 crosses per 90 mns in the 15 league games before last night. I love this adaptability that Enzo has brought in

Wonder what he will have in mind for Everton? They have a good team to deal with the ball in the air, as seen with them shutting down Arsenals set pieces.

                           Jackson

Sancho Cucurella Enzo Palmer Madueke

                     Caicedo Gusto

                       Colwill Tosin

There were numerous occasions last night against Brentford when the team looked exactly like this with Colwill and Tosin over the halfway line inside the Brentford half. Gusto inverting at center mid and Cucurella at no. 10. As attacking tactics as it can get.

Kudos to Maresca, it looks like he gained he total trust of this young group of players and he also believes in them to have them press so high up the pitch knowing PL clubs are filled with quality attackers that can punish you in transition at any time.

No more tippy tappy bullsh*t.

We are probably the most dangerous team in the league if we win the ball back from you.

What is going on with Mudryk will be another test for him.

Not the loss of the player, but the affect it will have on a young team seeing a team mate going through this.

Keeping them all focused now is a further challange, and the media will be waiting to jump on the "wheels falling off" story of a few bad results being linked to the affect of Mudryks failed test has had on the team.

Test for him? Doubtful.

Judging from Maresca's comments throughout the season he's practically already given up on Mudryk. Just a brainless athlete. He's already been outcasted from playing first team football in the league so I doubt his absence will in any way affect Maresca or the squad.

Hopefully you are right, depends what sort of a relationship mudryk had with his team mates. Maybe he was one of the more popular group members?

I know you have a habit in always seeing the negative in virtually anything, but Mudryk seems as introvert as a common house cat.

Yeah I was going to say I really can’t see him as the soul of a party.

Imagine if it happened to Joao Felix instead, who probably had similar amount of minutes as Mudryk if not less. You can imagine the impact would be much bigger.

He does. He would be around the team training as much as anyone though so we don't know what his relationship is like within the group.

I mean what happened with Mutu had its affect on the group then, cannot say he seemed a particularly likeable guy before that came to light.

Mutu's indiscretion was in 2004/5, and the group was so adversely affected that they went on to win the PL. It's a sign ... 🙂

Lol think that shows he was probably an unlikable guy then, probably glad to see the back of him.

Mutu was banned for Cocaine though was he not? I doubt the squad noticed he was gone

First it was sacking Poch, then it was putting Gallagher and Chalobah up for sale that were apparently going to cause mutiny and now this.

Maybe, just maybe, our players are more professional than that?

I think Fernandez stupid singing probably cause more issue’s than any of the above. But seems he has learnt and mended bridges.

Im hoping this is one of those games he lets the attackers dictate the play because Everton are really, really dull and can hardly score.

I see Acheampong has now signed a long term contract…..

This is good news.  Wonder if there is more game time / plan here with James' difficulties and Gusto's continued growth.  Could be a perfect understudy to Gusto.

I think he will get enough game time with Reece having only 5 games max per season.

I reckon they're just pissed off that he didn't share
