Enzo works under Pep and learns, mimics, studies, applies to his work. You don't need to take anything else from my post. Take nothing of my posts is also fine.

Why do you think this is a winning formula when Ten Hag did the same and the manager currently running away with the title didn't study under Pep? What is this stupidity.

I've read Shakespeare, doesn't mean i can start writing plays.

What makes you think that we can grind out a result vs Brentford? We can’t score or defend. This team is quite soft.

They are 12th for a reason.. even spurs went there and won a few weeks ago. It’s not a gimme but it’s hardly a daunting task either.

Arsenal (A) - 0 points

Tottenham (H) - 3 points

Brentford (A) - 1 point

Ipswich (H) - 3 points

Fulham (A) - 3 point

Everton (H) - 3 point

Liverpool (H) - 0 points

Newcastle (A) - 0 points

Man Utd (H) - 1 point

Forest (A) - 0 points

I think I've been quite fair with the above results. This would leave us finishing on the exact same points as last season lol

I think it says a lot that we’re 4th in March and have a decent chance of finishing in top 4 if we manage to go on a good run but everybody still wants Maresca out, including me.

I hate our football at the minute.

I said this at the start of the season and it's doubly true now that we've seen the likes of City and Spurs fall off but top 4 is to be expected.

This team is good enough for top 4, Maresca just has you thinking otherwise. Half the teams in the league have better managers that would be able to achieve it so I'm not going to praise Enzo for that.

Or Michael Olise, that was a chance to get a top player with Premier League experience but wouldn’t we pay the wages.

No wonder it’s called project 2030, that’s probably the year the board except us to have a competitive team.

Project 2030 has got f**k all to do with football. It’s when these c**ts can cream a lot more money from this ‘asset’.

As for the most incompetent f**king w**ker they’ve deemed necessary to run the actual football side of the ’asset’ f**k me, can you comprehend the Gaul of the c**t that he spews out, he really must think we are so f**king stupid. Jumping up and down after a pathetic result against one of the bottom clubs in the league.

Rarely comment on here anymore because of the way this club has been royally f**ked and I can’t see a way out of it.

Lost interest now like soo many other Chelsea fans I know, so so sad.

f**k THE LOT OF THEM.

That seems to be the recurring theme sadly.

Have to admit, with the weather being so good yesterday, took a walk to a local country pub with the Mrs and had a few cold ones in the beer garden. Had a much more enjoyable time than watching f**king Maresca-ball.

These things won’t happen because we won’t pay the wages. Remember last summer when we strung Osimhen along all summer and then told him to take a paycut to fit in our £150k/w ceiling? No world class player is taking a paycut to move to Stamford Bridge.

It's what I am afraid as well. The money is there, but I am afraid they'd rather spend 300M on 7-8 young players on 100k per week than 3 or 4 world class ones on 250k+ per week...

Did I say anything about a winning formula? I simply stated after someone here thought Enzo saying Jorgensen is out if he goes long is insane but it is actually straight from Pep's playbook. Why would that be insane if his mentor, the most decorated coach, in the world says that and acts accordingly. He basically just took something from Pep's playbook/philosophy.

By googling Pep's ideas on goalkeeper being one of the defenders in playing from the back especially earlier of his career is well documented and a very good idea in football and copied by most new coaches.

I didn't personally like Enzo's comment because he didn't walk the walk. Combined Sanchez and Jorgensen have gone long last 10 games like there is no tomorrow. If in actuality his philosophy is to always without fail is to play from the back with the keeper.

But its not from Pep's playbook, Ederson often goes long for a quick counter and has 6 assists in the PL. Are you just choosing to ignore half of what i type? There's a time and place and for him to come out and say he'll drop a keeper if he goes long is one of the most insanely naive things i've seen a manager say.

Watched the match but spent as much time watching the women’s team which was on around the same time.

Although that was only 1-0 as well at least they are coached to go after teams and try and score goals.

From the BBC sports site regarding lack of atmosphere at The Bridge . According to them a " signing "; section rather than a more helpful " singing " section is being considered.

There is also a unique issue at Chelsea in that the club is aware that their fans are the oldest in the Premier League. Firstly, they may simply not be as energetic or excited about watching a team that has been in decline and, secondly, they have seen teams that are better than the current one or at least more accessible in the old culture of English football.

Chelsea are in talks with fan groups about implementing a signing section as clubs like Manchester United have done to group the more hardcore supporters together.

And to unarguably prove you are 100% spot on, this is a direct quote from Maresca on the BBC website yesterday in answer to a question about the match day fans booing the slow build up and backwards passing;

"When addressing the situation in his post-match comments, the Italian added: "People have to understand this is our way, our style, and this is the way we are going to play. When a team creates the number of chances we created today you have to be happy."

#Pepiliniout#

Thanks mate for that quote...How depressing is that ?

From where we are with the fixtures and performances we've put in since December, I will be amazed if we finish top four. If we do, I think I said start of the season it would be an improvement on Poch and therefore probably would back him for another season... But my god the football we're playing is joyless...

GET THIS FRAUD OUT OF OUR CLUB

ITS BAD ENOUGH HE FORCED PALMER TO PLAY EVEN THOUGH HE HAD DIARRHEA AND A SICKNESS BUG (BUT ALLOWED JAMES TO MISS THE GAME),

HE THEN PICKS SANCHEZ AFTER PRESSURE FROM ABOVE

AND THEN PICKS ON THE SUPPORTERS, EVEN THOUGH HE ADMITS ITS HIS TACTICS AND HE'S NOT GOING TO CHANGE

Enzo Maresca has sent a pointed message to Chelsea supporters online after he was at the centre of crowd frustration during Sunday's 1-0 win against Leicester City. Despite claiming an important victory in the race for Champions League qualification, discontent grew at Stamford Bridge

In stoppage time of the first half, when the score was level at 0-0, a supporter from the East Stand shouted in Maresca's direction: "What's the matter with you?", with a sentence or two with some not-so-nice words before he asked the question. He was frustrated - as were most inside Stamford Bridge by what they had witnessed in the opening 45 minutes. While the match was under control from Chelsea's perspective, an element of the game Maresca is very big on, there was a lack of cutting edge from the home side against the statistically second-worst team in the Premier League.

After the game, when asked about Stamford Bridge being quiet and groaning at backwards passes, specifically with Enzo Fernandez on this occasion, Maresca suggested that supporters need to be more considered. "The people have to understand this is our way, our style and this is the way we are going to play," he told reporters.

"When a team creates the amount of chances we created today, you have to be happy. It's not easy." Maresca added that "the good thing is that Fernandez knows that if he doesn't play back, I will change him. If the 'keeper plays long, I will change him. This is what we have."

The thing is, when we were playing the type of football that Enzo is so critical of, not only were we great to watch, we were a winning team. Danny Murphy actually said watching Chelsea was his " guilty pleasure ' because we were so exciting. Enzo just had to impose his rigid, boring tactics on the team .

It might well get us a top 4. But.our fans don't expect their club to be spending so much on players and actually breaking transfer records only to end up watching this.

He had a go at Leicester fans too last season as they groaned at yet another back pass in a game they actually won 3-1. . Think it was V Stoke. He threatened to leave!

Put Madueke and Colwill in the place of Salah and Van Dijk and Liverpool would not be the same. The difference a couple of world class players makes is huge. Even though I hate Arsenal with a passion, I can't be a fool and not admit they have a top, settled back line and a solid midfield with Rice and Odegaard there. But even so, they fell into a million pieces the moment Saka got injured and they also had no other goalscorer up top.

I'd judge Maresca after he gets some top players in key positions. Get a world class defender next to Fofana and Colwill, a scoring winger and a top centre forward next to Palmer and things will surely change.

Unfortunately we aren't going to sign any"top" players. We sign young teenagers from South America or average players, top players don't sign for a club paying less wages than they could easily get elsewhere. The manager merry go round and huge turnover of players doesn't make us an attractive proposition either.

Well their last six home games have gone like this for them : image.png

And our last six away games look like this : image.png and I highly doubt we'll be replacing that first D with a nice green W at Arsenal next week !

Based on that form, I'm not sure either team will have enough to get 3 points, so it's got "draw" written all over it ... or "score draw" more likely :-)

Well if any team needs to get out of a poor run of form, we're more than happy to oblige 😂

I'm giving Maresca only a 10% chance of getting us top 4 this season. There's no way we can hold on to that spot the way we are playing right now. Teams just have to be slightly better than us to take points off of us and all the talk about outscoring the opposition that we were having early on in the season has gone up in flames.

The difference for quite a while was Palmer producing match-winning moments and Jackson chipping in with goals.

Now neither of those things are happening as Jackson is injured (but even before that looked like the player we all feared with not enough about him) and old stubborn bollox has put the shackles on Palmer and against all the odds has made him look like a run of the mill player. When Cole Palmer isn't saving the day, we look distinctly ordinary, thanks to the dreadful tactics Maresca insists on us playing.

Can't see him getting the sack anytime soon, but we all live in hope...........................

I think we have a better chance than 10%, especially if we get Jackson and Madueke back as I think Palmer might rediscover his mojo with them also back in the team.

Looking at the table with 10 matches to play, of those competing for the 3rd/4th/5th CL qualification, only Brighton are in better points-gaining form than us.

Bournemouth I think have shot their bolt, and Villa will be distracted by Champions League, so I think it is only the teams in 3rd to 7th that we need to worry about.

Newcastle and Man City are the same as us for their last 6 fixtures - won 3 lost 3. Forest are doing worse than that.

All to play for ... hopefully our manager won't get in the players' way ... 😀

Report on Maresca threatening to leave Leicester last season.......

"Leicester City fans have responded to Enzo Maresca threatening to leave the club after victory over Swansea.

The Foxes won 3-1 at the King Power Stadium on Tuesday night to move 10 points clear at the top of the Championship. But Maresca’s frustration with fans boiled over after the final whistle as he threatened to leave the club."
