Few games that I watched this season, it is better for Vinicius to play middle because that is where he can do more damage but Vinicius doesn't like playing inside, hence ancelotti doesn't force him. The top manager who is known to have different approach is manager is TT who will play different build up or even different attacking pattern depending on the opp. First game two seasons ago, TT asked Mount n kai to play like an out n out winger to stretch the opp. That is probably the best approach, ancelotti won't do this Nonsense on Tuchel. He basically played 2 ways. Way 1 - ultra cautious possession, no risks, slow and boring sideways passing. Way 2 - sit back and get outplayed by Man City and Liverpool, and try to hit on the counter.

Wouldn’t be too sure; he is a a cup manager and like we have seen with Ten Haag their fans demand more than that. PL is way too competitive at present; there are 2 teams guaranteed top 4, and another 5-6 teams competing for the other 2. He will be better off with one of the big 3 in Serie A or La Liga where he is almost guaranteed a CL position.
June 11, 20242 yr Nkunku, Sterling, Mudryk and possibly Jackson all competing for the left sided attacker. Palmer, Carney and possibly Casedei competing for the 10. Noni, and Palmer competing on the right We have to start selling some of these players especially with Paez and Estevao arriving in 12 months. I think Sterling will go late in the window. Mudryk out on loan and Casedei maybe sold too. If we sign Olise then add Noni to that list We absolutely need to get our squad size down to a more manageable size especially with such an inexperienced Manager at this level coming in. Same goes for the defence and midfield. Too many players and needing trimmed big style.
June 11, 20242 yr Looks like we might end up with Potter. You can see it now can't you...... First game of the season Leicester Vs Chelsea. There'll be a record number of passes but neither team will manage to get out of their own half. Xg will be in the minuses and the snores from the stands will be deafening 😂😂

Casadei, noni, modryk, carney as understudies, getting a lot of game time though, more and more games added....I'll miss sterling tbh, he adds the cool head/experience and hope he stays as a squad member. Those kids arriving in 12months (paez, estevao and lima) will take at least 2 years to get into the first team as regulars Imho, 16/17 Yr olds. I also think they will go out at loan for at least a year first, even though I've read some ppl say they will join the squad immediately on arrival.

Apparently they both signed on the understanding they would not be loaned and would immediately be involved in the first team squad.

That's going to be really hard for them, especially at that age. If they ain't strong enough (mentally or physically) that could break them. Even as squad players...3x 17 Yr olds in the first team squad, new country, new league. That can't be right...I really hope they nurture them and integrate them properly. They have talent and potential, to just throw them in the deep end like that.

I'd argue that's harder than joining a mid table premier league side.

Not sure about that. It's a lot easier South American players to settle in Spain, the league itself is less physical and joining a team that wins 95% of their games makes it a bit easier for you to fit in and build up confidence.

It's possible Palmer will be used as the number 8 and it would be mostly Olise and Noni on the right wing but then that means Nkunku on the left which I wouldn't want. Sterling isn't leaving, neither is Mudyrk. Next season when Paez and Estevao arrive one of them may be moved on but not now. Casedei would be good back up in Enzo's box to box role but yeah he's most likely gone.

June 12, 20242 yr Author It's all conjecture right now. We have no idea who will still be here or who will play where. What we can say though is that both Estevao and Paez won't be thrown into the wolves. They will have players ahead of them they can learn off of and be nurtured in.

Also makes it a hell of a lot harder to reach the required level. Vini was ridiculed for years at Madrid before he performed. We've seen with Mudryk all it takes is a decent 30 minute cameo on your debut and you'll get all the leeway you need here.

I am very intrigued about all this south american wonderkid. As you said, the physicality requirement in PL is extremely high even for a winger. Can they adapt? Can you still do all your "dance" when PL defender put their hand on you?
June 12, 20242 yr Author They'll be fine. South American football is very physical and full of sh*tehousery. South Americans have no problem adapting to the Prem.

Jesus, Martinelli, MacAllister, Enciso, and Buonanotte adapted just fine. And these are/were just children.

All depends on the player really and how they adapt, that's why scouts look more in depth into the player's personalities, etc. I'm not too worried as Estevao is a winger anyway and Paez has international experience so he's at least experienced different game speeds/intensity.
