Just practicing.

You'll treasure it as a way to lull Mini-Zeta to sleep.

Must say the reports from foxes fan, which seems to indicate we are in for a season of more pointless passing between the CBs, doesn't fill me with enthusiasm or excitement.

Let's hope it is possession with a clear aim - as opposed to the possession for the sake of possession, that we saw often under TT and Poch.

I think this is the biggest issue - not only whether the fans can stomach this kind of football but can the owners? They keep going on about «beautiful football» but I’m not sure they know what that actually is. The endless short passes is primarily a tool to make sure everyone on your team gets time to get into the correct positions, so that you can never be countered against. When Pep faces another manager who plays the same way, you get the kind of sterile crap City and Arsenal served us last season.
For me, the biggest misconception out there is therefore that Pep plays «beautiful football» while what he really does is eliminating any sort of risk and unbalance so in reality, its a very defensive kind of football.
I think we’ll appreciate the increased level of control at first after chaosball under Poch, but I can see the mood changing quickly if we dont keep winning. Among fans certainly, and perhaps among the owners when they discover that passing football doesnt equal goals, excitement and attacking football but rather the opposite

He will get booed at the bridge before the end of September is my guess. I don't want any of our players or managers to get booed It's stupid and counterproductive but there is no way he doesn't get booed quickly if his style of football being described by Foxes fans is accurate.. Fans are already on a knife edge so they just need a trigger for it to get extremely toxic.

Its Sarr-ball without the experience team he had.

Wasnt someone I expected us to sign but like Poch i will get behind him all the way. Up the Chels!!!

I hope it's not a bore fest every game.

But they scored 80 odd goals and had the best defence too.

They look terrific in some YouTube clips, but no doubt so could we.

We'll know pretty soon I suppose but I pray it's not endless pointless possession.

If we win more games and are competitive for top four I think people will be fine with the patient possession football.

Struggle to see how Sanchez can be no.1. Saying that, he’s hardly going to come out on day one and slate players publicly is he.

I feel a lot better about this than when I first heard about it. Suspect it was all fairly carefully planned from before the end of the season. People talk about bore ball but second highest number of goals in the championship + a tight defence will do me just fine if it can be repeated.

We shall see. I am always excited about the prospects for the season ahead and with most of the squad now having  a year's experience of life in the top 6 I think there is reason to expect more next season, injuries permitting.

If he doesn't have a back up in the building he won't get a chance to fix it until Christmas which could be too late again.

Then maybe we should sign their whole PL2 side to make it a lot easier for Enzo to coach. It's a good CV for clubs like Brighton who take a lot of gambles and where finishing 12th won't be a disaster and finishing 8th would be a resounding success. But for a club of our aspirations we need a manager who has atleast a top 4 league finish with a promising brand of football.

Kompany went down straightway with Burnley. Arteta could've been sacked many times over at arsenal before he managed to turn things around. Chances of long term success with Enzo are slim and short term success are almost nil so yeah, hard to get excited about this one.

I mean technically speaking Potter and Pochettino had more PL experience and they both had a terrible first season.

But there are also examples of Pep taking over Barcelona while having a limited experience, or Zidane taking over Real Madrid...

...Or the most recent one Xabi Alonso taking over Leverkusen while previously having the only experience of coaching Real Madrid's U15 team and Real Sociedad B team and being promoted.

Sometimes things just work, the only Italian that didn't win a trophy with us was Ranieri, everyone else from Vialli to Sarri won us something.

And Ranieri still left a positive impact.

Yeah I think so .

The Doc lasted longer I thought

The list I'm looking at in in days for some bizarre reason so it's a bit of mental arithmetic, while sitting on the train !

I did it using the murky resource known as my brain.

We are now with our 6th manager in the Todd.Co era.  Hopefully this Italian lad will do well and last longer than a season?

Not terribly optimistic about the appointment but at the same have no negativity towards Maresca at all. He has my full support. In fact, he can get away with murder as far as I'm concerned. If this goes belly up it's 100% on the owners and sporting directors.
