Over the last few years once the youngsters get their first senior contract they’ve been getting 35k a week!

Tough thing is a lot of championship clubs can’t afford the wages so still have to supplement them.

There’s half a title changing team right there. 

I read elsewhere that a 5 strong new medical and sports science team has been appointed. Given the injury record I thought this was an area where change was justified. I hope the new team does a good job. For every front line soldier there are 5 people in support the soldier depends on. I’m sure a great medical team that the club listens to and who are integrated into training can add points to our league table total.

There is no such thing as no tactical organization. It all depend what you want, the more you allow your player to have freedom, the more chaotic your team will be. 

Sarri wanted Hazard to stay wide all the time like a winger. Poch allow Palmer to go inside outside to find area where he can do his thing. It is that simple.

Sarri got the best out of Hazard anyway so that tactic clearly worked. What Maresca wants to do looks much more complex in comparison to Poch so it should take much more time to implement, I doubt he can do what Xavi Alonso did in a matter of a few months only.

The players have all been coached for years and probably played every formation known to man or beast at some point. 
 
as JM7 said they will suss him out. If they like him then he will get the system going easily. 
 

we played nothing but vanilla 4:3:3 from mourinho to conte. 
 

conte had them playing with a back 3 like they had never done anything else and only took 2 games. 

He's already got a strong group of players to work with at Cobham so thats a big plus. Just from the short clips we've seen of him in training sessions it's evident he talks, walks and instructs exactly like Guardiola so the influence is obvious. Its pretty much a given we'll be looking to keep control by being pass heavy and slow (like City) but I have to say that I believe our squad is built and suited for a faster style of football so it will be very interesting to see how it all works out.

A good coach will adapt the system to the squad. I’m sure there is a faster version of what maresca used at Leicester, perhaps keeping the ball deep and then breaking quickly, perhaps trying a fast break on the turnover and reverting to possession when it doesn’t work. If you have fast players you have to use them. Speed is an incredible advantage used well.

It worked for RDZ with the midfield he had. Until he didn't have them anymore and it didn't work anymore and he didn't have another plan. When it didn't work for Maresca last season he didn't have another plan either.

So that is Jackson, Nkunku, Carney, Lavia, Santos, Madueke, KDH, Mudryk, Sterling, Gusto, James, Chilwell, Tosin, Disasi, Fofana, Colwill, Badiashile, Chalobah, Sanchez, all available the first week of preseason training. Practically our entire first team is available for Enzo 😂

Hopefully this gives us a strong start to the season.

I didn't like chilli's attitude compared to everyone else. He does look more like the father figure though. Looks out of place amongst all them kids.

Apparently Enzo wants Sanchez to be our ball playing goalkeeper in the style of Ederson from the start of the season if those Chelsea YouTubers are to be believed!! 

Mind you, who believes anything they say ??!!!!

If he really did have that in mind, our nerves are going to be in pieces after a few minutes!

You can see how Spain have added pace to their possession based football, hopefully that's what we might be looking at .

After 2 years of not having a real defined way of playing, hopefully now we will adapt and embrace a definite , tactical way of playing . without too many team changes between games and a less injury blighted season.

I've been thinking similarly today actually.  The main difference between PL and Championship is that minute clinical edge. So with more detailed and incisive patterns with better quality and more clinical players hopefully we will be faster and unpick low block defences. 

I'm kind of clinging on to the hope that the turgid bore ball we have played under the last few managers was down to their inability to create movement and passing patterns rather than just players playing cr@p.
