I just feel a sense of indifference about the new coach and the club as a whole at the moment.

We've been through so many coaches it just doesn't get the blood pumping anymore.

This interesting. Might explain the injuries and Poch’s lack of tactical knowledge. 

You missed a big important part of Caicedo's interview. He said that he had to get a separate coach to drill him on areas where he needs to improve. His positioning, his anticipation and where to move the ball.

He also said he wasmore comfortable playing away because the Chelsea fans attacked him during this time. I don't recall that happening although he was getting dogs abuse on social media for a while.

I do. It was the collective groans in the stadium when ever he lost the ball due to the complete isolation he was in.

He was a late call up to the squad for one of the qualifiers. Deschamps doesn't seem to be a huge fan. Thank goodness.

If this is true then it's another failure of the owners and SDs. If after a "rigorous process" and a million interviews last season they ended up selecting a manager who basically asks his players to run without much tactical organisation then it shows they're truly out of their depth at this level.

Maybe.

Another thought is that Poch was the only one willingly to work under the director's circumstances (Nagelsmann and Enrique wanted more control) but still recognized Poch's limitations in coaching, hence the short contract.

I haven’t kept up with off season news like I did in previous seasons I just lost all excitement.

Are we so sh*te that we were/are willing to sacrifice a couple of seasons of this perpetual "project" with a possible turnover of another 20-30 players by signing an average manager just because our incompetent and unproven SDs were unwilling to show some flexibility on their part and give a degree of control to a better manager ?

A more likely spin by twatterati on this would be that it was actually all part of a grand plan and Poch was keeping the seat warm for Pep-lite while the owners laid the foundations just like City did before Pep arrived.
