Arsenal are a dirty team..but with Gabriel out their top scorer maybe missing. But they really play professionally- constantly rotate to foul if you break their press. Off the ball fouls, the only thing world class about them is Saka and Set Pieces.

Against these big clubs, we’re going to need to be a lot more street wise and not allow ourselves to get bullied. We’re still a little naive. 

Well we get to be the first PL match for United after they sacked ETH. Lovely, always something when we go to OT.

Good weekend for us overall with United, Spurs, Villa, Liverpool and Brighton all dropping points. In terms of those who might challenge for Champions League, there’s at least a 5 point gap. I’m not counting Brighton or Forest as I expect them to fade. Top 5 might be enough for CL this season given the coefficients as well. Just need to keep momentum going. 

I think 5th will be good enough this season. The English clubs are looking good in Europe.

Just our luck we play this terrible Utd team the week they get rid of Ten Haag.  I can see what would have been an easy game turning into a disaster now with the snakes suddenly turning up and putting in a performance that's not been seen at old Trafford for years.  I was looking forward to this match but not now.  Hopefully Utd are still a shambles next weekend.

It's frustrating but we'd still only have ourselves to blame if we don't win, we are simply a much better side.

Also our previous f**k ups vs new manager bounces (Carrick, Big Dunk) has often been down to abysmal finishing which hopefully won't be a problem this time.

We beat United I'll be convinced Maresca is the real deal.

Ruud will have them play with humility and revert to what worked under Ole. Pragmatic approach and counter. Lot of those United players thrive at it.

On top of the Hollywood only turn up when we want to players like Bruno and Rashford who are basically the rot that's been dragging the team down for years will suddenly turn up like the last few years of terrible form never existed.

Should also run out and buy a lotto ticket. We either have lady luck give us the middle finger there, or shoot ourselves in the foot, or both.

Even WITH Ten Hag it draw written all over it, at least their first game under Rudd is actually Leicester. 

It is Ruud or apparently Amorim that could take over the role in quick succession. 

Problem with the timing is the players have so much more energy in the game at home now that the dutch AI robot is gone. 

Their side is full of quality. 

Anyway we should just trust what we are doing and go for it.

We are a better side than united, no matter who would have been in charge they would have been up for it.

If you get most out of that squad you are top 2-3 side in the Prem. That is the sad truth about their management of players and that club. I would have hoped it continues and it could...

They need to separate themselves from the SAF era. It means cutting all the ties to Sir Alex and his troops. Actually they kicked Sir Alex out just now of his which is a worrying sign to the rest of us. 

They need to structure the club in a new way like we did. You need a ton of smart people to run the club. Signs from Chelsea are hopeful. 

They hold idiots like Scholes and Keane in a god like status and still listen to them. Those old whispers should be silenced and let the new ideas have room. 

I only hope they rinse and repeat and continue like always but I fear Ineos is pretty clear what is wrong with the club and will bulldoze the club...

Here's their squad, and I'm struggling to see who I'd want ahead of any of our players in that lot ... possibly Onana, but not much enthused about any of the outfielders !

DeLigt, Martinez, Bruno, Hojlund, Rashford, Eriksen, Garnacho, Casemiro, Shaw, Onana, Ugarte, Mainoo and with a stretch Mount.. all these players best utilized is a better side than current Aston Villa side in terms of individual player quality.

Not saying these names as a starting 11 or so would function but just as individual players.

If those names are in a new Premier League club lets say Blunderford FC and their Manager is Unai Emery and there are no ties to the old MU guard they are top 6 every season. Even top 2 or 3 in a great season. 

They lack of structure in hiring, they lack of a great coach but most of all they are carrying a massive burden on their backs in the size of SAF and his old regime. 

 

The moment they go back to their pragmatic counter approach, they will start doing well. Almost their entire squad is made for that kind of football and no surprise Ole found the most success with it.

I think the options they have in attack are appallingly poor, personally I would prefer the West Ham front line of Kudus, Antonio and Bowen over any combination United can put together.

Obviously the likes of Hojlund, Zirkzee and Garnacho have plenty of potential to turn into World Class Players but right now they are just not ready to be regular first team players for a team with ambitions to be challenging for the league.

I agree in terms of Kudus and maybe Bowen. Anyway if any of MU attackers are part of a functioning side they are much closer to their potential. 

Thomas Partey is a good example of a player that has much more potential than seen. He joined disjointed Arsenal side and looked horrible. Now along with Rice he looks like a good player. A second choice still but a good player. 

Sancho is much better for us than at MU.
