The stupid c**t doesn't understand....We don't want to see us passing the ball sideways around between the defenders, against anyone, but let alone the giants of Warsaw.

Get the fraud out of the club. And take his c**ting dream striker and first choice goalkeeper with him....

He does not care what we want mate.

Palmer - young player of the year when playing High and wide....NOPE! Play in the centre and keep dropping deep....

Nkunku - Bundesliga golden boot, top scorer, wanted by Bayern Munich given how good as a 2nd striker .....NOPE! Get out wide or up top on your own....

James - world class wingback, bombing forward....NOPE! Play Cdm please.

😂😂🤣🧐🫢🤢💩

Cucurella - Inverted full back that was an extra body in midfield to play out of the back......Nope! go play CAM, LW, ST, f**k it, do whatever you like.

Would anyone disagree that some players have downed tools under Maresca?

I am not sure that they have downed tools as such. I do believe that there a number that forced to play in a structure that nullifies their effectiveness and therefore they may have checked out to a degree.

Yeah - I think the same. Nkunku looks like he has downed tools - and perhaps Palmer. The rest still appear to be trying - but just completely ineffective plying the way Maresca wants

Yeah I agree, I don’t think downed tools but I think a number of them are unhappy, nullified and are not able to see any progress or belief in the system.

Reece James responses damming really.

As captain we need more of it....be a vocal leader. Too often it looks like he is a passenger along for the ride. Why did he allow the players to disrespect the competition and be insufficiently prepared.

I get that much is on the manager - but if the manager isn't delivering, then Reece as our captain and a senior player needs to stand up and speak out ahead.

this was a little too much from the azpi captain playbook, and not the JT one.

Said this yesterday but he'll have a fire in his belly after what has just happened to him. He'd have a young, hungry and impressionable squad here that is basically begging for an experienced leader with a firm guiding hand. He could mould this team in his image and probably make us the most versatile side in the country.

If we do not get this man in then these owners are completely hopeless.

I would love it....but cant see it happening.

I mean Carlo did manage Everton briefly, so we aren't completely out of the question. But, the fact Maresca is not even at risk of being sacked just shows how much the owners care about the on field actions right now. Are they really going to pay Maresca out for a better manager? Moeny says no.

Maresca is done. He won’t be sacked in the immediate but it’s a matter of time. He’s lost of the fans and probably 3/4 of the squad. You can tell as they aren’t enthused or happy.

Matter of time.

I wonder what asset we'd have to strip the club of to pay for his 5 year contract.

Must be a dream job managing Chelsea, work for one year, get paid for 5.

James’ comments were damning.

Not necessarily the bit where he said they didn’t prepare, but where he said “this isn’t progress, if anything it’s a step backwards.”

This is directly attacking Maresca’s midweek presser where he said “the club has shown progression as we spent half the season in Top 4. Last season, they were never in the top 4.”

Like you said, it’s a matter of time. Players are evidently turning on him now and the atmosphere is as toxic as it’s ever been. The only question is whether the co-directors follow him. Because if they don’t, they will appoint Frank/McKenna and we’ll find ourselves in the same position we are now and £500m more in debt.

I think people are reading too much into it.

He agreed with Enzo and said there has been progress but for this game it wasnt, it’s a step backwards.

”Can you achieve top five target if Nicolas and Cole don’t start scoring?”

Maresca : “No”

“Is it as simple as that?”

Maresca: “Yes”

(@kierangill_DM)

Says it all sadly. Completely reliant on two players rather than building a proper coached team

Also is a "not my fault" comment. Blame on Cole and Nico.

And the fans, don't forget the fans! Those rapscallions disturbing the peace at games with all their noise!

Poch didnt show sufficient progress either. Sure, results at the end of the season had picked up, but that only ever told half the story. Go and watch Chelsea vs Forest. We won the game - but it was some of the worst football we had seen. This was a consistent issue. The players dragged us through those final games, despite Poch, not because of him.

No way. Thought we were looking better & better towards the end of the season. You're saying the worst football we had seen? Still a million times better than the absolute dross Maresca is dishing up. Am 100% certain, if we had given Poch another season, we would be so much better off than we are currently and we also wouldn't have Cole Palmer looking a shadow of the player he was.

Can't say it enough. Maresca is the worst we have EVER had. Should never have been appointed and he needs to go. NOW.
