Winning on the spreadsheets, not the pitch.

This.

Gittens 21 - 50m

Eze 27 - 70m (maybe double or more of gittens salary)

You can have a debate who is better on the field, but on spreadsheet, it is not even close and all of us know which player that our SD will go for.

I blame Pep. He inspired a gazillion copycats who thought his ideas are the only way to move forward but forgot they did not possess his talent.

The two most successful Pep students are Arteta and Kompany, and both have turned their teams into counter-attacking monsters. Pep-copycats invariably fail because they obsess over the tactics that are the least important factor in his success. Even Pep himself copied "tiki-taka" at Barcelona from Luis Aragones, and the tactic itself came about because both managers actually listened to the players instead of trying to impose some sort of genius on them. That requires humility, which a lot of the new wave of Pep disciples do not have, and Maresca certainly does not.

They're not even doing that. They don't deserve plaudits for just barely keeping us afloat and within spending rules, and having to use outrageous emergency tactics to do so. The new model is the same as the old model, except this time it's being implemented by actual idiots.

I doubt anyone would put forward gittens being better then Eze on the pitch right now.

They have this 10 year plan to win the spreadsheet battle and make Clearlake shareholders, and people like wyss, their expected profits. Whether that works or not remains to be seen.

I think it's a lot worse than that, because even that gives them way too much credit.

Their "plan" was to buy a football club and ride the wave of inflation. Boehly confirmed as much when he said "the trend is our friend".

They've executed their plan already and all this operational stuff is just window-dressing and making it up as it goes. The club could make an actual loss every year for the next 20 and they'd still sell at a profit so long as football itself is able to transfer capital from oil states desperate for legitimacy to debt-ridden Western investors.

The fastest way for them to make money is to support globalised expansion of the PL and you can see from BlueCo's voting record this is exactly what they are doing. They will not sell until we have corporatised fan cultures and levels of monetisation and PL rounds played in the USA or Saudi.

The player trading and sporting side are just the ego side boost. This is a lossless gamble from a corporation who got extremely lucky and bought at the right time. 500m wasted on a Neto or Garnacho here or there means nothing in the grand scheme of things.

We're all wasting our breath as we know he ain't going anywhere. We all have to continue to "trust the process".

If Roman was still in charge I'd like to think he would currently be reviewing a short-list of 3 names:

Glasner

Iraola

Fabregas

Anyone of those would improve us massively.

Even when the glorious day they decide to sell, the prospective buyer may not even agree to their valuation of the club (considering no one budge on their valuation for a FOS).

We could be stuck with these twats for much longer.

JUVENTUS HAVE FIRED THEIR MANAGER THIS MORNING, THIS COULD BE MARESCAS WAY OUT

Shame it looks like they'll end up with Spalletti or Mancini. They won't spend money on compensation if those 2 are available for free.

I am deprioritising Chelsea matches now. At the start of the season I said I would give him 10 games and if nothing changes for my mental wellbeing am deprioritising.

If I can watch a match I will but no more will I go out of my way or change plans just to watch our games.

f**k Beavis and Butthead, f**k £land Pep!!!

Love my club but hate what’s happening now!!

Times like this I miss Roman.

I'd take Fabregas as a player ahead of Enzo!
