Don’t think it’s a purple patch, just seems like he was born to score goals. Still think he needs at least 1 more season playing as an apprentice to Watkins to be a starter. They would be demanding £75m in Jan now though

To be fair, Neuer has a LOT more credit in the bank than Sanchez, but he is past his best at 38.

I remember most of us baulked at the price touted for Duran and Gordon for the matter, but now I'm starting to think we could have got them on the cheap.  

Would be interesting to see how Duran would fair playing a full 90 minutes.   Think he's selfish wild shoot from anywhere style would get frustrating over a full match rather than just throwing him on to win a game late on.  Reminds me of old skool striker that doesn't play any system just does what he wants a complete maverick.  Is he capable of playing in a modern system based structure week in week out? I'm not sure but want I do know is he knows where the back of the net is.

Jackson has more non penalty goals than Salah.  Cost us less than 40m.

Duran is kicking up a storm and even that Omardion bloke or w/e is killing it at Porto. 

So I would question why did the ownership back the judgement of the SD in signing up several players, some vastly expensive ones, but not the 35mill Samu deal we tanked or 40mill for Duran?

Was it the owners, or did the SD change their minds?

Did we really want him that much? We saw Egbahli himself step in when both the Enzo deal, and the Caicedo one, were set to fail to make them happen.

Yet with Victor he did not. Why? Because Victor's Napoli wages would have smashed our wage structure, we had to know this was too big a stumbling block to overcome, and why Egbahli did not personally get involved.

Nice little story.

One day, there was a lovely boy called NNNJ. Little old NNNJ was clear in his support for Chelsea signing Jhon Duran, and advocated for his beloved club to throw all the money they needed to get him. 

In stark contrast, many other others were mouthing off, frothing at the mouth in their disdain for the sporting directors, asking "HOW MUCH? FOR WHO? NAH... IN WACKO WE TRUST"....

Unfortunately, the sporting directors saw such outcry, and thought "oh well, why spend money on a new striker, when the fanbase clearly like the fraudulent donkey we have now....".  Sadly.....The transfer fell through.... It was a dark day.

 

Some weeks passed, and the fraudulent donkey is still doing what he does best - missing open goals, getting caught offside and generally being....well....a fraud.  Meanwhile in greater brum land, Jhon Durans stock has continued to rise. Smashing in 30 yrd wonder goals, scoring the winning goal against German heavyweights Bayern, and seeing his price rise significantly.....

Moral of this nice little story?  .... People should shut the f**k up, stop complaining about our potential striker signings.....start complaining more about the fraudulent donkey..... and start trusting the lovely boys of Turbo Timo and NNNJ.

Gyorkeres - maybe. I like that he isn't yet another 'prospect'.  He has some playing experience - including with the Great FC. St. Pauli.
 

It's not my money. . .not directly anyways . . .but how much would he cost?
