January 4Jan 4 No, he wasn't good and had a pretty embarrassing miss from inside the box.Reminder that we played a strong team away from home, he played the entire game, and we ended up tying it at the end.The game was only still within grasp because we were down by a goal... I know it's not "sexy" to talk about defensive duties esp for a winger, but they do matter esp in games like these. Edited January 4Jan 4 by acaeus

Why do you defend Garnacho. but give so much abuse to Neto. You really are coming across as a troll. Just posting vids of his mistakes. Where is your support now? At least don't be selective with it and then be praising Garnacho for a basic pass for Enzo against Bournemouth.

When he’s messed up, I’ve said he’s messed up. Neto on the other hand has this performance weekly then scores a tap in and people pretend he’s the player of the season. Watch him mess up every attack then throw his hands up at his team mates the one time he doesn’t receive the ball, it’s the Mendes player ego.

I don't trust any of our current wingers to do enough in games. None of them (bar maybe Estevao) have shown game changing abilities. They all struggle to beat their man 1on1, crosses/cut backs are often wild/aimless. I honestly hope they can prove me wrong but none of Neto, Garnacho or Gittens look the real deal. Where I will agree with you is that 2 of them are very young and very raw so there is potential there. Neto on the other hand should be in his prime, it is unlikely he will get much better if at all. He deserves to be slightly more criticised than others as he is supposed to one of our more experienced players.

I even bore myself crapping on about it, but the owners preference for Fernandez in the team really creates problems and lack of team balance for us. And Fernandez has no role in a 3-4-2-1 if you are picking the best 2 for the midfield pair and the best 2 behind the striker.

The 3 cbs in my opinion should be Acheampong Fofana Chalobah. With Santos and Caicedo in the centre. Using Reece James as a wing back again (if possible) would be amazing. Palmer and Estevao behind the striker could cause so much chaos for the opposition defence.

January 5Jan 5 Every now and again (once in a blue moon), Neto does something really good and/or puts in something close to a MOTM performance and you think, yeah, handy to have in the squad. But now we have Estevao, he shouldn't be starting regularly ahead of him. He's had more than enough chances to nail down a place but has failed and Estevao needs a lot more game-time than he has had up to now.

It would have been accurate if not for Neto ballsing up every opportunity. I am still convinced that if we had scored the equaliser in the 74th minute instead of the 94th, Man City would have just stepped up a gear and scored again.

Don't think we'll ever see James at WB though unless it's for a short period in-game tweak. Would love to see Santos and Caicedo build a relationship. They have the potential to really dominate.

A permanent switch to midfield or a RCB role?

Enough of this crap with Badiashile and Tosin, and not having a CB that can break lines. James solves both issues. Palmer plays right with Gusto overlapping which is how you get the best out of both as well.
