Our game in the Conference League makes me expect this line up, with just the one question mark:

Sanchez

Gusto

Fofana

Colwill

Cucurella

Caicedo

Enzo

Madueke

Palmer

Neto/Felix

Jackson

It’s crazy thinking that despite the starting line up and 3 or 4 substitutes today, all of our first team had a rest.

We have a big advantage over Villa, we really should be looking to get all three points. Especially after Villa’s tough game against Juventus.

I love it tbh.

The issue is the other clubs and their fans don't and the media started to dramatise it with this or that player is unhappy, this or that player will leave, etc...

I just hope our fans don't add fuel to the fire and fall for that sh*t, but instead just realise soo many ppl are fkn jealous of Chelsea.

We may not be ready yet but this squad in the next few seasons will only get better together (the plan from the start) and challenge the top teams on a regular basis again.

I can't imagine how other clubs and their fans wouldn’t hate us tbh. Lol

Its taken man utd ages to get on track and all they had was a change in staff and management.

Arse...I think Maresca will beat arteta. I don't think it will take him 5 years for Chels to be called "real title contenders".  Again, just a management change.

Dippers...like for like manager ish. Least issues/changes imo.

Chelsea!

New everything. From top to bottom. 2 yrs for the new owners to get the hang of things, learn and make mistakes. This year, year 3, and everyone can see the future looks bright.

It's literally eating away at everyone that ain't Chels.

Carefree baby. 🤣 🤣 🤣

Villa haven't looked great of late but no doubt they will be at their best Sunday and Martinez will have one of those games where he saves everything.

Will take a 1-0.

I don’t think I can recall a situation where a club has virtually had two different teams representing them. Surely this is unique?

Apart from a a couple of first teamers sitting unused on the 2nds bench and a few 2nds sitting on the 1sts bench, it’s almost as if they could give the Conference cup team a different name. Walham Green Wanderers?

Certainly is working to our advantage. But next season could be a big change as IF we get CL football, we won’t be able to get away with this as a lot of this second team simply aren’t at that level, or anywhere near.

Would love 3 points but will take a draw. Think Villa will show up.

Not for me. At home to a direct top 4 rival not in the best of form, tired after playing a good team in the CL.

Must win, we have failed against every big side/legitimate top 4 rival this season except Newcastle, that form is not good enough and we must improve on it. Jackson, Palmer, Madueke and co need to step up and deliver a win against an actual top end PL side.

Will take a draw? Absolutely not.

Amen to that. Draw would be another let down against a a top end side.

Can see villa making it hard for us. Despite there poor form of late.

anyway

Sanchez

gusto fofana colwill cucurella

Caicedo lavia

Madueke plamer neto

jackson

I was going to make a joke related to some of the above posts. But Gregg Wallace and all that, so I won’t go there.

Exactly. We need to win this game. Villa haven't been at their best, they had a tough midweek game, we rested our players, we are at home. Anything other than a win would be a big dent mentally to our chances of finishing in the top 4/5.
