Tomorrow's team.

Chels...we are soo lucky to have had some of footballs best and greatest at Chels.

I think we can fill at least 2 more teams (like above) with all of our best and greatest yesteryear players.

Back 3 ?

Could well be ... 3-3-3-1 perhaps ?

Have to see what positions the wingers take up ... could be 3-5-1-1 if Neto and Sancho are "wing backs"

Bench:  Jorgensen, Gusto, Badiashile, Tosin, Veiga, Joao Felix, Madueke, Mudryk, Nkunku

Team to play Aston Villa: Sanchez; Fofana, Colwill, Cucurella; Neto, Caicedo, Lavia, Fernandez, Sancho; Palmer; Jackson.

Wingbacks? Can't be right?

Very interesting...

What a surprising line-up!

Looks like some sort of a 3-4-3 hybrid to me.

Sanchez

Fofana Colwill Cucurella

Caicedo Lavia

Palmer Enzo

Neto Jackson Sancho

Looks so weird, haha. But intriguing!

Very eager to see how Maresca has actually set them up.

Listed as caicedo rb on the app i have but probably a guess

That's the only way I could see them lining up, unless it's a weird 3-3-1-3 thingy..

I used to grumble when Tuchel picked 7-8 defensive minded players. Maresca has done the opposite - this could be wild.

From one extreme to the next it’s all out attack it seems trying to outscore the opposition as we know we will concede

I can understand the back 3 given how potent Villa are on the counter. Hopefully should give us some protection.

It's probably not as wacky as it looks on paper.

Comparing to our previous PL game, he's basically swapped his wingers out (Neto and Sancho instead of Madueke and Felix) and is playing Lavia instead of Badiashile.

Think this is a way to pack the midfield in possesion.

Although given Villas highline I'm surprised Sancho has started.

Not sure why he’s dropped Madueke, that side is hardly packed with goalscorers.

That said, I have every hope for a chaotic, nonsense game. Come on Chels, second (realistically third) place is in our grasp.
