August 1, 2025Aug 1 Based on his football, I’d say no to another average player. Based on the fact we’d be giving Utd a lifeline, I say no, f**k’em!Based on his attitude and media surroundings, I’d say no.Based on his punchable face, I’d say let him stay at Utd or go to Spuds with the other most punchable face Son.Based on his hairstyle…. What can I say?

August 2, 2025Aug 2 WOW!!!! This is DEFINITELY happening then. He really wants the Chelsea move and you know what? Good on him for doing his absolute best to come here. He is doing his part on making sure we pay as low as possible with this.

August 3, 2025Aug 3 He will be behind Palmer Estevao Neto Gittens Simons , so nominally 6th choice for two or three places in the starting 11. Might not even make the bench, yeah come on down we could take him on loan or very cheaply but i doubt if Maresca cares. I wouldnt want to be Man utd trying to shift him.

If he was brought to be 6th choice, why the f**k get him? This, like the Joao Felix deal, makes no sense.
August 3, 2025Aug 3 Think there is some over optimism about some players and the entire opposite about others here.Estevao is going to take some time to acclimatise, when the dust is settled he’s the best we have but to begin with (anything upto a season or two) there’s some serious adjustments to contend with.Pedro Neto is Hot/Cold, if he continues his CWC form then no issues, if he is the player we saw for 75% of last year then he’s not exactly untouchable, Palmer will/should be on the right.Simons likely more a threat to Enzo than anyone else.Gittens looks more raw than Madueke when we signed him and comes from the Bundesliga which history has shown, especially regards forwards, flatters to deceive.Garnacho, aside from having a Dele Ali level face & annoying sibling, is PL proven and when motivated is actually a cracking little player and someone that offers us something different to what we’ve had.
August 3, 2025Aug 3 Charity FC, taking United’s bad apples, and just when we were getting a little bit of squad harmony too; we now insert a massive ego and trouble maker. Liking slander against his own club/manager, leaking lineups, throwing a strop if he isn’t numero uno first 11. Garnacho is brainless like Mudryk, Mr ‘look down and run at players’, glorified full back, no end product, bang average. This transfer makes this the worst window in history, and destroys any good will that has been built up for these sporting directors, if there was any. Lazy scouting.

Cucurella, Caicedo, Fernandez and Palmer are being required to play almost every minute of every game as we don't have quality back up for them. Neto is having to fill in as a striker because Jackson and Guiu are both down at the same time.Basically we need the depth, you need a full 25 man squad to go into the season with. That's not a call for Garnacho specifically, but it is a call we will likely need another left sided attacker and ideally one that has a slightly different profile to Gittens. August 3, 2025Aug 3 Another way of looking at this, we’ve managed to shift Broja for circa 20M if that is roughly (give or take 5M) what Garnacho comes in on then it’s a definite upgrade. Utd are in absolutely no position to bargain here and will be forced to accept whatever offers comes.

Neto is probably the only one ahead of him in the pecking order on the left.

There is some merit in having an experienced winger that's a workhorse on the wings so I can see why Garnacho has a place on the team
August 3, 2025Aug 3 I've come to terms that he's coming, I try to be positive about transfers and look at the good points. I'll let you guys know when I think of some.
August 3, 2025Aug 3 I know he is an annoying player who has attitude problems, but you would like to think that is down to immaturity and that can grow out of him, especially in a new environment. I think people have judged him as if he is the finished article. He scored 6 goals and 7 goals in the league past 2 seasons. Not great, but in a awful team set up, it is decent, considering how bad United have been. Had a brilliant performance at the Bridge couple seasons ago in that dramatic game. But. yeah only 21 and just turned 21. I like that he doesn't hide and always willing to try and beat his man and have a go. He needs to work on this, but I think he may surprise people in a few years. He is not as bad as people make out. Honestly.

Our vice captain seems the perfect person to do that.I actually wonder if we didn't have Enzo would we be signing him. Edited August 3, 2025Aug 3 by bisright1

Lazy scouting.Full agreement on his ability, but I can’t see him disrupting anything.Maresca won’t allow it given how he treated Noni. Club won’t allow it and they’ll sell him at first chance. Don’t even think the players allow it. I’ve told you before that Garnacho is essentially bullied on the national side because of his personality and immaturity. Hopefully that bullying is enforced here too. People made wild claims Mudryk being a drug mule would disrupt the team, we then went on to get Top 4, win another European trophy and become Champions of the world.
August 3, 2025Aug 3 As always with me he’ll get a clean slate all reputations out the window. The scares of Robert Fleck run deep.Let’s see what he does in blue, he is very young still and has ability and this looks like it’s happening so…… I think it’s unnecessary, unless they just don’t think Estevau and Gittens are ready?Much rather a keeper.

I think there is a player in Garnacho, but I don't know if he'll ever be a world beater.

At 30m it seems like the exact type of "value punt" we should be grabbing with both hands. Buy 3 of those players and by law of averages you should at worst turn a profit across the board, and at best sign a player who turns into a cole Palmer. I don't get the hate for the transfer. He's certainly 1000x more appreciated by me than signing someone like Sterling.
