Jamie Gittens joins Chelsea

"Not professional Enough" . . . Well Maradona was not professional enough, but he could play football. Gittens? Can he play football? I think that maybe he can y'know - i just really haven't seen enough of him. I think he might have some footballing ability lurking inside him.

In some sense Gittens will feel like a new signing again. We barely saw him last year, and with each brief appearance his confidence fell a little more. The injury was a major setback.

He's second choice LW to me, and that's behind an unnamed first choice LW!

I sincerely hope he’s spent all his recovery in the gym bulking up and also in the classroom studying the game and also on the pitch practicing his first and second and sometimes even third touch and his shooting and his passing and his tracking back and his heading and his link up play and his off ball runs then he MIGHT be ready for a League One loan.

Regardless of his quality — these guys run their mouth an awful lot. I must say it was very satisfying to take away their UCL in their stadium.

Uli hoeiness and his possy .. would love to see them get beat every year in very competition- momo e talks about players like that.. first it was Nico and now gittens..

Unlikely, he seemed to back out of every 50/50 when he played

Have to agree just appeared so weak in any physical situation from what I've seen so far which was a surprise

. Would love to be proved wrong but given from what I've seen so far from a defensive perspective makes even Garnacho look like Ron Harris.

Is he any more lightweight than "Pippi Longstocking" Gusto, that's the question i suppose

Remember being so optimistic when I first saw Gusto, think it was a pre season game when he absolutely bossed Mitoma, oh well first impressions and all that lol.

Shouldn’t even be discussing this colossal financial error.

He’s a much inferior player to Jesse Derry from the sample size of last season, ergo should not be afforded any opportunity before JD to begin with.

Then it’s battling it out with Garnacho for those back up minutes, and Garnacho wiped the floor with Gittens last season and Garnacho was absolute gash.

Don’t let absence make the heart grow fonder, this is a David Washington level signing.

Going to the gym will make no difference. Having aggression is something you either have or you don't. Estevao was as skinny as a rake when he arrived, but he was one of our most aggressive players.

Spot on Scott. Hudson-Odoi is a good example of that. Bags of skill and ability, but not one ounce of agression.

Hopefully Estevao will be like Luis Diaz. Tons of agression and a staggering work ethic for a winger.
