When you compare him to Semenyo, they're light years apart.

How much do you think Semenyo will go for? Gittens was just shy of £50m, so Semenyo surely will need to be £100m, or is his contract running out?

I don't think us grossly over paying sets a precedent for other clubs signings.

Semenyo likely goes for £50-60M.

I don't know, it's not just us paying huge amounts for forwards/wingers.

Look at Marmoush - similar back up Winger at City for more money, 1 goal and 1 assist in 500+ minutes. Cost €75m, so a bit more than Gittens.

Marmoush has played 389 minutes and only started 4 games this season.

Before City signed him he had 25 G/A in 17 Bundesliga games. I think he justified the price tag a bit more than Dortmund's bench warmer.

They will want more but it's a decent valuation. Talented but runs hot and cold.

I think Semenyo has a release clause of £65m for January window. Capology reckon he is on £75K per week at Bournemouth.

So we're looking at a £65m Fee, and I'd guess his agent will get him wages of £150-180K pw, and we can compare that to £110K/£108K pw respectively and £90m give or take of fees on Gittens and Garnacho 🤠

You're right, I didn't realise Transfermarket were including his CWC minutes.

Cunha was also a lot more minutes and so far he hasn't much to show for it at united (3g/a). Sesko, Wirtz, Isak - all pretty poor despite previous form suggesting they'll be good, and with much higher prices.

It's all besides the point though, Sexyfootball has answered my question with the £65m release clause. That feels like good value to me

Gittens is too much of an investment and wages to be loaned out, unless I am mistaken and the directors have done so before.

Most frustrating thing is 99% of this fanbase predicted this. Who was the member that tried telling us Gittens already showed more than Mudryk?

still not going to write Gittens off. Said I'd give him the season. What is apparent is that another winger has stalled playing in Maresca's System. Just like Madueke, Sancho, to a degree Palmer, Mudryk isnt a footballer so cant count him as a chelsea player, Garnacho is the same player as he was at United but I actually have a little hope for in doing what Neto has done except her Neto was pretty turgid last season and is on form this season.

My take on Gittens at the time we signed him was that George was the better option to develop and wouldnt cost 50 million. George has all but vanished from the first team, which is not great.

On on to Xmas we go.

Thats the frustrating thing. Knowing we paid big money for a dud that we cant make profit on.

I knew it would be a painful experience trying to develop him but didn't expect it to be this bad. He's actually worse than Mudyrk.

I knew he would be sh*te when we signed him, he looked rubbish at Dortmund whenever I watched him play.

It gave me Bakayoko vibes. He's nowhere near the level we need him to be and he never will be. Total waste of money.

I never thought I would see a player worse than Bakayoko play for this club, but in all honesty, I think I have seen quite a few under this ownership.

He looks weak and timid that doesn’t work at CFC or the PL!!

You going to have to start showing something my boy as it’s looking very shaky for you.

He's a rabbit caught in the headlights ... what the f**k is the mentality coach doing LOL

The cross at the mighty Burnley aside, has he produced anything of note in his appearances for us? Thinking I must have forgotten a key moment he has provided.

Having said that, has anyone at CFC LDN had a key moment at all this season?
