April 7Apr 7 i cant even remember a half decent winger on the left after hazard.. Pulisic was probably the best but too inconsistent and always injured.. after him the next best was werner i guess... these clowns are beyond belief - when they took over we lost our entire CB defence, had no striker and no LW..since then they bought a washed up sterling, on loan sancho, 75mil for Mudryk, 90 mil ffs for gittens and garnacho... And now we are in a position that we have to play an ineffective neto on the left or rely on an 18year old estevaocould have just set fire to a pile of cash instead.. they call themselves professional scouts.fck winstanley .. fck liam.. fck blueco
May 27May 27 Ah the lesser spotted Gittens. Will probably be seen early next season only to be injured again. Very handy really or his lack of ability would be exposed for all to see. I expect he will hide in the treatment room with the others for as long as possible. If Alonso can get a tune out of this lad i will be amazed. Edited May 27May 27 by OTL

One hopes. Small. But something. Possibly.
May 27May 27 Genuinely a left sided Madueke. All pace, nothing else. Much like Garnacho and Neto, only good showings were against relegation fodder or championship/league one sides.
May 27May 27 He’s the worst of all our options on the Left.We won’t be able to sell him ‘cos of the f**king ridiculous transfer fee and who’s going to really want him on loan?Releasing him seems the best option for all parties.Keeping him around will only limit Derry’s minutes, who should definitely be our rotation option next season if he doesn’t go to a Cov on loan.

May 27May 27 And much like Jorgensen, will there be accountability on what feels to be like our 67th disaster signing? No, of course not.

May 29May 29 He's been with us for a season now but I feel like I've never properly watched him play. A few games here and there, mostly early/pre-season, interspersed with a few sub appearances, then seemingly constantly out due to injury. I thought he looked exciting in his CWC sub appearances, but then again I still felt some optimism about the club back then after that good end of season run of results. His signing was a total gamble for such a young player with no PL experience. There might be a decent squad-player in there somewhere, but if he's never available and doesn't push on from last season then it's not much use to us and we should call our losses.

He never scored 10 league goals in a single season while he was out there, so I don’t see what they were seeing. There is a study that compares Bundesliga’s level to the Championship, seems crazy but all three of Kane, Diaz & Olise exponentially increased their outputs in that league. Kane at 32 is scoring at a rate of 1.5 goals per game, making him a 50 goal a season scorer. What pissed me off is some fans referring to a CL game v Madrid as proof of his quality.

May 29May 29 He'll get another chance under Alonso, and that is the right thing to do. To speak candidly, I saw nothing from him last season that gives me any confidence he'll make it at Chelsea. Hope I'm wrong.
May 29May 29 From the little we've seen of him I have the impression that there's more to him than there is to Garnacho. He tries to take on players at least. If we had to keep one of them, I'd keep Gittens.Of course ideally we'd replace both with a proper winger and keep George as cover.Realistically though, we'll end up keeping both and selling George to try to recoup some of the £90m spent.
May 29May 29 I also have forgotten just how sh*t he was and therefore suggest we keep both him and Mudryk. The worst left-wing saviour double act since Andy Burnham and f**king Wesley the weasel Streeting...
May 29May 29 has a new signing every turned it around after an underwhelming debut season riddled with injuries in the premier league? You hope for his sake and the club’s sake he is fit for a full preseason.
May 29May 29 I wish we'd not signed him. But if we had to sign him, I wish we'd paid less money. But if we had to pay that money, I'd still rather keep him than Garnacho.

May 30May 30 I don't know why as I know it's completely irrational and no doubt I am going to get battered with 🤣 from you lot but:For some reason I have a feeling that Alonso might try to retrain Gittens as his right wing back. He may well see the possibility of turning him into his new Frimpong. If he can teach him defensive discipline and improve his heading, then there is more space in Alonso's formation for Gittens to use his pace going forward and he can cross a ball when required.Whether it works or not is debatable but he certainly looks a busted flush where he is especially as Alonso has openly been making eyes at Kenan Yildiz for some time (yes I know that our cretins will fail to deliver Yildiz for him).Perhaps the reality is that I am clutching at all and any straws just to be put out of this wet lettuce Gusto misery.

Think Quenda may be pigeon holed for LWB and possibly RW on rotationThink James will do this, and possibly stints at RCB, but not consistently, so this offers a shared role between themThink Acheampong might actually go out on loan with no option if a good situation aroseJemima Puddleduck can go and warm the bench for Sonia Bompastor if we can't get shot of him.
