Our record against them in recent times is poor. Bar the 4-3 classic last season and the late Cole Palmer show, we tend to show them far too much respect and struggle to a draw.

Well a draw is no good this time around. We mustn't show them respect but just dispense with them as the sh*t team they are this season. We MUST win and also look to boost the goal difference. At least Jackson won't be there to stink the place out.

3-0 Chelsea. Come on You Blues...............!

The form they are in, our mentality should be to absolutely hammer them. Let's see ...

They may rotate a few players, but I doubt they want keep the losing streak ahead of the final. I don't think form and confidence is something you could turn on and off via a switch, so I still expect them to play a strong team. We are definitely the favourites ( first time in a while), just need to get it done on the night.

Based on what Enzo Maresca said after the first leg vs Djurgarden Nkunku may be back for this game, as he was ruled our for "only" 2 weeks back then.

Also based on what he said before the second leg vs Djurgarden Marc Guiu would be able to make the squad if they really want to do that, but he felt him training was better than him being in the squad.

Perhaps both will be made to join the united game squad, Nkunku starting and Guiu on the bench.

Can't see Nkunku contributing anything even if fit. If he plays up front it's as a false 9 anyway so there are many players I'd rather see as a false 9 than him.

I'd actually rather punt him than Jackson and I'm no defender of Jackson.

I'd punt both

We have tried Nkunku as 9 experiment many many times. He is a terrible st, even Neto is better than him.

Has Mount not played himself into UEFA cup final contention though? Hopefully he'll be rested for that instead of causing us grief.

Wouldn’t hurt bringing him on for 20 minutes or so, that’s the danger. Very typical.

Yup he is completely done with us, but given Maresca turned to him vs Brentford I would not be surprised.

But then took him of as soon as second half started. Also judging by his comments, makes me think he is not in his thoughts, especially for CF position. This was Maresca's exact words. Only referred to him and Guiu as our strikers.

"What you have to do is avoid this kind of thing because you need all your squad available for the next game," said Maresca. "But it happened, now he will be out for the rest of the season and hopefully he can learn for the future.

"The season for him is finished. He's our nine, he's our striker, the other one is Marc Guiu that you know is already injured from the last three months. He's close to being back and we need to find a different solution for the last two games. They are both important games."

Will see what the different solution ends up being. I'm not writing off the possibility it is nkunku.

No Sancho, No Jackson. If stats is right and the solution maresca talked about is not either nkunku or guiu, that likely leave George.

But... could Maresca throw a huge curve ball and go with Reggie Walsh, then moving either Neto or Palmer up top?

I love the unbridled optimism re this fixture. Before we count all 3 points may I humbly remind the forum that no matter how 🐕 💩 poor United have been for the last decade they seem to nearly always have our number. So don’t be surprised if it’s a draw or worse. Just tempering expectations 🥹

For me this will be where it dies and maybe all remaining games start to unravel.

I can see this being 1-1. I have consistently seen us either getting rolled or only drawing by some of the worst United sides in living memory. The glorious Palmer masterclass has been an outlier in a sea of dross underperformances against teams that at that moment we should have hammered.

I think this will be a tough one. For some reason they play their best sh*te football against us. We haven't figured out as a team that they are one of the easiest sides to beat in the league this season. We still consider them a top side.

We didn't win one league game against them when they had Ole...

The 4-3 game last season was the first time we beat them in the league in about 8 years which is astonishing given how poor they've been since Ferguson left.

I'm not confident about this game at all, they can still show up in the Europa League, they can no doubt show up against us too.

Apparently Evissy there are no easy sides in this division 😉

I think your right - for some reason they're always well up for it against us.

Last years win, when Cole got 2 in the last 10 minutes was one of the best wins ever for me by Chelsea. They thought they'd won it with Garnacho's header but it all fell apart in the last couple of minutes of Fergie time 😁 Palmer - Legend in one game for me !
