I'd probably even go for Gallas ahead of Cucurella. Cucurella by the end of his time with us and I might view him differently and its fair to see what he brings this side so Im defo very happy with him. Anyhow this is Pedro page... we also still have Chilwell who is a top defender.

I'm not sure you lot know what limited means. Dave was one of the best, he was still a limited football that maximised everything he had and that's a testament to him as a player.

Cucurella is obviously nowhere near but falls into the same model of not being great at anything but maximising what he has at his disposal.

Pretty much this and showed how lacking we were in that department. Jackson had two seasons and couldn’t make it his own.

Why single our Pedro though? Neto, Palmer, Estevao, Gittens, Delap, they all suffered with the same problem, and that problem is Maresca.

Palace had 10 men behind the ball and he had no service at all, Delap threw him self about a bit when he came on and looked more threatening against that low block though

Every team has ten men behind the ball when they don't have the ball. This is not a low block, it is just defending. They didn't come into this game to stifle us. We're going to have more possession as we're at home. The reality is that we moved the ball too slowly, we again wasted vast amounts of our possession with aimless passes to the nearest unmarked play to just receive it back form them. If anything i thought our lack of intensity and creativity came from the medium level pressing they put on us.

He didn’t have the best game but was stifled of service. The problem today was the same as last season but in the games he’s played previously i thought that maybe he would be the striker to drag space between midfield and defence and allow palmer more space.

The 2 big problems today were both named Enzo. Maresca inverting cucerella rather than asking him to hold width and stretch play one side and to facilitate Fernandez to be one of the attacking players who slowed down the play even more than the tactics were meant to do and occupied space that palmer, Neto, pedro and gittens should have been in. By the time we were near the area Palace had 3 centre backs who could deal with anything that we could throw at them.

Should play behind Delap with Palmer back on the right. This makes too much sense though so Maresca will naturally leave him up top with zero service.
