I think he’s Jackson replacement.

I’m not really sure what’s happening with Nkunku at the moment, abit confused after past few weeks where he seemed to have become an important squad player.

I think Nkunku's wages may be an issue, which is why the interest in him is slow. I still think he will go by end of the window, that being said.

Good player and around £50m for a 23 year old with a few years Premier League experience is a good price IMO.

He's the replacement for Nkunku, if we can find a buyer.

Why are we even interested in this guy ?

He's 19th percentile for shots and non-penalty goals as per FBREF.

A steady goal every 3 games in his career, much of it spent at Watford in the Championship.

What am I missing ?

Goal contribution every 125 minutes despite a lot of his appearances coming off the bench and predominantly as a facilitator behind the striker.

A sh*t ton of penalties though ?

He has 30 goals for Brighton, but 15 of them were penalties and one was a penalty rebound, presumably because he had the actual penalty saved !

Over half his goals disappear if he's not taking penalties ...

I think it’s entirely dependent on what he can achieve playing regularly. If he’s here to just be a rotation player I agree, what’s the point.

I think we need to just accept that we won’t get back to the highs of where we were with Roman. These f**king clowns want to sign every single average player they can.

Look at city and Liverpool signings all immediately strengthen their squad but our signings I have no f**king clue what they have done.

Maybe they have him in mind to play left wing ? Or as the bench option to play anywhere across the front four ?

I don't think he's any better than what we already have starting or on the bench, so it seems a pretty pointless signing to me !

I'd disagree with that. I'd rather Pedro over Noni, George and Jackson, Nkunku is leaving anyway. With any luck Noni or Jackson will be off as well.

"I AM ONLY GOING TO THE CLUB TO BE THE NUMBER ONE STRIKER"

NOT MY WORDS BUT PEDRO'S

According to Sky Sports, Pedro will only consider joining a club where he is going to be first-choice striker. That, of course, is not something Enzo Maresca can guarantee him, while Newcastle United are also in a similar position because of Alexander Isak.

  1. I DONT RATE HIM,

  2. HOW CAN WE GO FROM OSIMHEN TO ISAAK TO GYOKERES TO EKITIKE TO PEDRO?

  3. HOW CAN WE GO AFTER A PLAYER WHO DEMANDS TO BE NUMBER 1 IN THAT POSITION BUT PETROVIC ASKED FOR THE SAME GUARANTEE AND WAS TOLD NO CHANCE AND IS NOW BEING SOLD

I think you get yourself tied up in knots by nothing more than speculation.

You also forget that many of the players you mention would never consider signing for us because of our wage structure.

Osimhen and Gykores or Sesko were never serious options I reckon.

And there isn’t a chance in hell that we’d sign a player guaranteeing him as a starter.

Stop believing what you see on YouTube and the socials

We shall see !

I think any sales are going to prove very difficult, and we are going to need to sell or loan at least 25 players by my count. We'll have a Bomb Squad A and a Bomb Squad B at this rate LOL

I mean Liverpool looked to have done great business, but I don’t think City have done anything special since Haaland. I mean Cherki is a standard BlueCo youngster, Rjienders no one was asking to sign him, Ait Nori looks like a decent signing. Savinho and Doku are terrible. Mamoush has been rotting about the Bundesliga for years with only one good season.

Think it’s easy to glance at other teams believing they’re making great signings and then scrutinising your own team. When in fact the signings aren’t too dissimilar or worse.

They really are not. Doku is inconsistent but one his day is unstoppable and he, himself has been improving, whereas Savinho is just coming of his first season at City, where he improvised during the latter of the season and also looked brilliant against Juve other day and only recently turned 21.

Same Marmoush who scored 7 PL goals in half a season?

I guess we disagree. Inconsistent is an understatement Dokus end product would be lambasted on here if he was a Chelsea player. Savinho in the premier league last year was completely ineffectual and none existent Sancho had a better season.

You keep forgetting that in the interim they have also signed Gittens for £55m. Pedro doesn’t actually play LW. He plays as a CF or in the hole as “10” so I don’t get the signing. He is either coming as a backup to Delap & Jackson, or as a backup to Palmer & Enzo who has been awful as a “10”.

Can imagine they have at the minimum 2x his £50k/w wages, so he is another one like Gittens that doesn’t improve us. Just a sideways move.

I don’t think he’s a bad player probably the best of an average bunch and the 7 goals are stat padded by a hat trick Noni style.
