January 5Jan 5 It will be interesting to see who gets the better manager, I think we will know after this coming weekend.Xavi would be very interesting for the neutral though a pragmatic manager might be better. Zidane is looking for a role too will one of us go for him?

January 5Jan 5 I know it’ll be an unpopular opinion but the Utd situation just emphasises how much FFP/PSR/Whatever the f**k they call it now is ruining football.Every manager that goes there will fail due to how many different players from different systems under different managers regimes they have.Without the restrictions a club that size (They are still the biggest by a mile in this country) would be able to ‘splash the cash’ and form a competitive squad in 1-2 transfer windows under whoever they appoints mould. Bringing another competitive side to the league.Instead whoever comes in will have to juggle round pegs into square holes to try and make things work, ultimately fail and the whole process will start again.Does piss me off cos it’s all contributing to the Premier Leagues degeneration into its worst iteration in my (memorable) lifetime.

January 5Jan 5 If they're appointing a caretaker manager until the end of the season it suggests that the person they actually want isn't available until the summer, which theoretically rules out Xavi, Maresca, Southgate, etc. One could infer from this that Glasner is their intended target. Alternatively Ratcliffe could just be a f**king idiot who has no idea what he's doing.

United problem is simple. They were developing an interesting team under Ole until they decided to nuke it by signing Ronaldo. Then they hired ten hag who was trying to send as much money to Dutch/A**x.Then they decided to hire a manager who only want to play 343. So many bizzare decision. All united need to do is do simple thing and they will at least be in top 4 every season

All these coaches are nuts, there is a reason they are appointed as “head coach”. No one in European football is allowed to sign who he wants, not even Pep. The closest to having that kind of power is Eddie Howe at Newcastle. Edited January 6Jan 6 by markpitts
