Prioritising Gittens over Rodgers in the summer epitomises the absolute idiocy in charge of this club.

I dont think it happened like that, from memory we were looking at Rodgers and Newcastle then bought Ramsey meaning Villa then didn't need to sell Rodgers.

They've been shafted by PSR but selling Ramsey cleared them, unfortunately.

There was talk of Villa being interested in Jackson, particularly Emery wanting the player.

Not sure if Jackson would've taken the move (I think he would have), but there were so many pathways to securing better wingers than Garnacho and Gittens.

When Arsenal fans get cocky I remind them of the time they stayed at home to watch Liverpool on TV instead of going to Highbury to watch Arsenal! ......

'Arsenal left their historic Highbury home for the 60,000 capacity Emirates Stadium in order to meet demand for tickets, but back on 5 May 1966 a 6,000 capacity ground would have been more appropriate. That night just 4,554 people watched Arsenal's top flight match with Leeds United so sparse that fires were lit on the old North Bank terrace in order to keep the few spectators warm on a cold spring evening. This shocking attendance was partly due to Liverpool's Cup Winners' Cup final with Dortmund being televised live at the same time, in an era when football matches on TV were few and far between, but is still a stark reminder to all Gooners that the good times shouldn't be taken for granted.

PSR has ruined the aspirations of clubs with owner's money to spend but prevented from doing so.

It's led to Academy players being used as commodities and to owners with money, spending billions on stadiums instead of on the football team ..

Apparently the bet was for 2-1 so he's got the score correct as well. And it wasn't with a bookie it was with his Tottenham-supporting mates, so they're all well out of pocket today, as well as points LOL.

My mate doesn't even follow football and he still knows to bet against Spurs 😂

But have they paid up ? Bit shifty when it comes to money that lot !

😂

We certainly dodged a bullet with Xavi Simmons

Xavi Simons and was the best thing since sliced bread when we were looking at a him, certainly on this forum.

Oh joy, Arsenal v Palace with Alan “the gunners” Smith as co commentator.

The commentary is surprisingly entertaining. Gotta love it when someone can't take even the lightest of ribbing and spends the rest of the match sulking.

I want Arsenal to win.

Need to see how our lot do against our bogey side over two legs. Let’s see if they finally have any bottle.

I rather Palace to avoid the possibility of an Arse treble…

Arsenal are so lucky maybe it needs City to sign Semenyo to stop them.

Everything goes their way, it’s so annoying.

Quite true, but given the standard of signings we’ve been making (Gittens for example) you can’t blame people for being utterly desperate.

Anyone see that linesman in the game in the Arsenal Palace game. He looked like a splitting image off Luke Shaw.

Surprised Arsenal did not bring on Gyokeres for the pens. Anyway, come on Palace!
