I knew this would not be easy. Playing a physical, bigger team on their own turf, but Lord, this is embarrassing. Hopefully this is the the last time seeing George up front. It actually hurts my eyes. They could have been 3-0 up. No exaggeration. The stats are no lie. There chances have been genuine. Gittens grew into the game, so hope he is not hooked off but still needs to do better. Hato has not offered much on the offensive front yet. Fully deserved lead for Lincoln. We just always are slow starters away from home. Every away game this season, we have fallen 1-0 behind in first half. Not good.

To be fair to Maresca, he did make it clear another CB would be welcomed, but the board sat on their hands. Could have signed Maignan, but instead they held out for Garnacho as he was somehow more important.

The strategy of only buying young inexperienced players leads to this - we'd be far better off with a couple of seasoned centre backs and a competitive midfield. In fact get the spine of the team sorted and then you can p*ss around with youngsters
