Yes, I don't jump on hating players but id prefer him there than anyone else when Palmer is out.

I think it's his best position rather than sticking him next to Caicedo. We've always played best when Caicedo is paired with Lavia, I expect we will see the same with Santos.

Is the logic behind Hato at centre-back that he’s tall? Seems weird to have Acheampong in the squad and not starting. Could be Cucurella or James in the three in possession I suppose?

I had heard that Hato can play CB which is a good thing, however im surprised that Maresca didnt pick Achempong. If Josh cant start when hes 1 of 2 recognised CBs that are fit then it doesnt look good for him.

Surprised also that he has started Santos. Very pleased at that and that Enzo has been moved further forward. Hopefully Enzo can score 1 and assist 1 as he does. Unlike most on here i like Enzo.

Nice line up imo but surprised at Marescas selection. Hope im surprised at his tactics too.

Guiu doesnt start which confirms it was the SDs that wanted him back not Maresca.

Hato is not ready for the PL. I do like the lad but he is another player from a European league and is far too weak and not yet sharp enough. I think he will come good I time, but I now have grave doubts for us today.

And for the hogwash about the strategy and the spend by the club, the amount of players we have, an injury to our budding CF and an injury to a CB and the team is fcked. Shocking really.

Seen the lineup, sticking with my decision to watch the Ryder Cup. Commiserations in advance to anyone putting themselves through another 90 minutes of that garbage.
