Happy Val or disappointed we did not batter them second half?

I would have preferred a more forceful second half, but the emphatic result and that thicko Weghorst's blood (well, it had to be blood, it could not have been brain matter) have made me hum this morning. It's not even 7am and I'm not a morning person, so that tells you something!

Chelsea can be infuriating, but not this week!

Until the weekend of course.

It got entertaining once they got a player sent off. Estevao was exciting. Did Gittens really get the man of the match award? Because, imo, he was quite average.

Anyway, great to get the three points and on to play Sunderland on Saturday.

No one really played exceptional today. Gittens played well. Put in multiple dangerous crosses. If we had Erling up top, he would've had 5 assists.

Estavao played well but only scored a pen. Had he got one more goal, he would've secured the award.

Crazy first half. Shame the second half just kinda slid away.

Good to see so many youngsters and squad players get valuable minutes and most did well. Thought Gittens looked a lot better. Already written off by some but hopefully last night will do his confidence a whole lot of good.

Estevao a joy to watch. Sometimes overplays it but that's fine and he'll learn.

Thought Tosin was VERY lucky not to see red. Looked clear intention the way he brought his foot down, but it wouldn't have made a great deal of difference.

Decent win against very poor opposition. Sunderland will be a whole lot trickier.

It so happens I have an office day tomorrow. What a coincidence. No, really.

Goodnight everybody!

I hope that you went to the office early this morning and stood at the entrance on your Chelsea top to bid good morning to your colleagues with a grin in your face!

This morning Ajax Amsterdam have to take solace in the words of the great man.

Chalobah over Fofana. Chalobah hasn't been great this season, but Fofana looks like he has forgotten how to play football.

To be fair he hasn’t played football since he’s joined just so it would make sense he has forgotten 🤣🤣🤣

One of the biggest surprises last night was that Robbie Savage didn't irritate me. I'm no fan (who is), but have to say he was okay and pretty complimentary to CFC in general. Would take him over the likes of McManaman, Owen, Burley etc any day.

I spend a fair bit of time avoiding bin dipper sympathisers, sometimes I have to watch with mute on. May I add Jim Beglin to that list.

I thought we did what we we needed to do against 10 m3n.

Estawow is going to entertain us that's for sure.

Maresca made the right subs (again) so all in all a pleasing night.

PS.. Robbie savage was very complimentary about us, he even put us in contention with Arse, The rat munchers and Citeh as title contenders !!!

All in all a happy bunny, bring on the maccoms....

There weren't many people in the building, but I'm pretty sure their pain will carry on to next week. In the meantime, I told a dejected colleague it takes incredible stupidity to have a player sent off after 15 minutes with a straight red, against a mostly U20 team plus its own share of blockheads and a string of sendings off (sending offs?). He miserably said "Yeah" and practically slouched under his desk.

You'd think my empathy and compession would kick in, but no.

Yes. Correct.
