Liam Rosenior - Chelsea Head Coach *Now Sacked*

Featured Replies

Options. Options. options. . . there really aren't many. Even in an ideal situation.

The return of Tuchel?
The return of Poch - after he wins the Soccer World Cup for the USA?
Diego Simeone? Plays entirely different type of football and so that would mean a complete over haul of the squad. So that might be a little bit unnecessary?
Carlo returns? Cannot see him Giving up the Brazil job that he really seems to be enjoying - semi-retirement.
Return of the chosen One? He would be cancelled in a week for not providing a "safe space".
Return of the Frank - maybe one day - but right now he's enjoying his football management. Land-locked.
WWRD? What would Roman do? He would have noticed that Pep was retiring/leaving Citeh and he would have gone after him - that wouldn't happen - so he would probably go after Luis Enrique.
Simone Inzhagi?
Julian Nagelsmann?

What we need first is A sporting Director? (not two).

Blue.co out ? Not going to happen - the reality is they are not going anywhere - Glazers have been at United for 21 years now. 500 people demonstrating before a game is not going to make any difference - sad, but true.

Peter Schmeichel expects Chelsea to sack Liam Rosenior

Graham Potter lost 11 of 31 matches as Chelsea manager. Well, Rosenior has already lost nine games since taking over at Stamford Bridge. So, will the board sack Rosenior this summer, or possibly before?

But Schmeichel is having none of it. Speaking to Premier League Productions on the weekend, the Dane believes Chelsea will sack Rosenior soon and expects an announcement in the not-too-distant future.

“I have no idea what the plan with him is. But going by what Glenn is saying and what Chelsea normally does, he’s probably gone,” Schmeichel said, when asked if he thinks Chelsea will sack their manager.

The Simeone rumors are hilarious.

Very.. he is well paid, treated like a king and gets to pick and choose out there.

Can’t see any reputable manager taking the role after those comments by the club director.

I can't think of any other manager that is more completely against what this ownership/directors are trying to do.

Can you imagine BlueCo giving Simeone 19/20 year old midgets/soft ass players?

almost as hilarious as the Rosenior appointment. That went well.

If Eghbali appointed Simeone he would have some sort of yardstick to judge the utter incompetence of his SDs, which he probably has his suspicions about. Currently Winstanley is praising and agreeing with Stewart and vice versa. If only Eghbali could hear a different opinion perhaps from a seasoned professional. These two clowns would have trouble keeping this guy in line. 😉

Maybe Simeone is planned as Sporting Director to replace those 2

Eghbali " Hi Diego do you think the project is working?"

later

Eghbali " Diego do you think you could do better than these two clowns and make me more money?"

Or a manager less likely to accept the current management structure. He rules at Atlético. Full stop.

Thing is, we don't even need a new sporting director.

We appointed that one bloke from Liverpool in January who was responsible for their data driven recruitment 2012-2024. From what it appears, he's working under the two dimwits when he has more experience in his left bollock than those two combined.

two days into the new appointment

Eghbali "Diego, please, let me off the pillory and stop kicking me in the balls!"

Weirdly, I feel part of the problem is they’re hiring guys that are too nice and collaborative. The elite managers are wired differently and frankly a little strange/different.

I find the things Rosenior says really strange to be honest.........but I also think he is faking it. He doesn't sound authentic at all and comes across as a massive try hard.

Eddie Howe and Unai Emery of the current mob spring to mind. Eddie, through circumstances, and he has tripped up. Emery because it's his way or the highway.

And Winstanley's reputation was based entirely on Bloom's recruiting system.

Howe worked under a DoF (first Dan Ashworth, then Paul Mitchell, now someone else). Unai Emery has famously worked with Monchi who has a legendary reputation for what he achieved at Sevilla.

The difference is that the good ones in that list (Ashworth and Monchi) saw the manager as the final say and gave them a key place at the table, because common sense alone should make people listen to the advice of coaches with Howe or Emery's stature. Our quintet of idiots all think they are the smartest person in the room despite frightening amounts of evidence to the contrary.
