Feels like the Garnacho signing really, you know ahead of time it won’t work out, but there’s nothing you can do.

Just a case of going through the motions, and like with Garnacho they’ll be a sprinkle of fans that try to get behind it somehow; mental gymnastics.

This really. First few pages of this thread has posts like this.

We are at a point where we a run by people with zero common sense. Explains as much in our account sheets.

I wish fans would stop believing that a different manager is the solution..

The project that our owners have imposed on.our club is the problem... from the SD's they have appointed to carry out their transfer policy, from the record spending and subsequent record financial losses, from the managers they have appointed.... those decisions and others have been responsible for the destruction of the elite football club that they bought..

Hiring and then firing within months the guy THEY appointed is another example of their continuing mismanagement of our great football club.. It continues and will not change..It will only get worse.

You know who’s not an upgrade on Rosenior, Callum McFarlane. Love you BlueCo x

I disagree.. ANYONE is an upgrade, he was utterly useless. The hatred for the ownwers is clouding peoples judgement on him. For me they take some credit for getting shot when ther realised they made a huge mistake, one i would be suprised if they make next time.

Does anyone believe changing the manager is the solution? I’ve seen nothing but universal agreement he had to go, but that it solves absolutely none of our deeper issues

Personally I look forward to seeing his haunted, hunched figure resume its grim march along the touchline.

No BUT whoever takes the job needs to have it in their contract

  1. The manager picks the team

  2. No outside interference

  3. No one is allowed in the changing room before or after the game

But there are several managers out there who would get a tune from our squad even with the interference from above.

The thing is, as soon as a project manager like Potter, Enzo or Rosenior win anything they do exactly what an experienced manager would demand before they took the job which is more control.

As soon as a manager feels like he holds the cards at Chelsea there can only be friction.

Our owners have bought into our Sporting Directors grand plan rather than the other way around. Rosenior is maybe 30% to blame. Stewart and Winstanley are much more culpable.

I'm afraid it won't matter.
This is the weakest squad we’ve had since Roman took over.

The excitement over some very promising young players may be masking the pretty obvious holes in squad building. It's really not that surprising is it? it's the same folks who hired Liam Rosenior.

I just hope for someone who is tactically savvy and have the respect of the players. Maresca was that--warts and all.

i agree we know blueco have made many big mistakes , including the SD`S and rosenior .at least they realise rosenior was a total mistake, that they have admitted by not being afraid to sacked him. also although i feel sorry for liam he also holds some responsibility for taking a managers job he just didnt have anywhere near enough experience for. now we need to step back and make no more kneejerks decisions. we have most of summer. finally there are many players that are not good enough for premier league let alone chelsea. there are also many players as we saw against the seagulls , that showed the club means nothing to them , i feel they can go as well.

I feel like we've been here before.

Briefs about top class managers and then we get Potter and managers from the championship. I'll believe it when I see it but the next manager for them is make or break because they have failed way too many times now and they can't hide from hiring Rosenior as he was their project.

Now, will we see the heads of Eghbali and the SD clowns on pikes at SB? I very much doubt it, so I don't expect much to change.

Can see the administration under duress, appointing an experienced and proven manager, and also a smattering of proven and experienced players in the Summer.

The experiment has catastrophically failed, and the ownership must now be aware of this. 2 Billion down the karzi

He may have been hopeless but I'm not sure the owners have it in them to pick the right manager.

Heck even with the right manager I'm not convinced our players will put in the work they should be, or the owners support them.

Notice how carefully Romano chose his words. "Important" manager. Not "Elite" or "World Class".

We're f**ked lads. Liquidate the club. This time next year we are going to be in the very same place.

Because as I keep saying any elite world class manager would not take this job now even if they don’t have anything else. With this current ownership only young and upcoming managers would risk it. It’s a win win for them but payday when/if they get sacked and their reputation will not be damaged.

He's a qualified coach mate, by all accounts was very good at Villa. It's only short term as who are you bringing in now? McFarlane is taking over and I know who I'd rather was in charge.

He might be better to follow Ashley Cole's example and go to Italy.
